I want to try Oat Milk, Macadamia Milk, and Cashew Milk next. This sure is fun sampling these different milks, isn't it?

This morning was Upouria Sweet French Vanilla Cappuccino powder in warm sweetened Silk Vanilla Almond Milk with extra Folgers instant coffee added.
I rarely have milky hot drinks but my barista friends swear by oat milk for coffee, especially when making foam. OATLY even do a special barista milk.

If anyone has difficulty with almond/soya milk curdling in hot drinks Oatly is the way forward. Or, make sure your milk is at room temp before adding it. If the milk is too cold when it hits the coffee, it will look like it has gone bad!

I use almond milk in my morning oatmeal but always shake it up well first. The only coffee drinks I have with almond milk are a flat white or latte. DH loves oat milk, he also likes Oatly or Planet Oat.

This morning, I used the oat milk with my tea. I found it to be a lot creamier than almond milk.

I also put a splash in with my oatmeal— oatmeal with oatmeal milk :flail:
It was good, creamier.

I will try it again, with the tea. Perhaps later this week, I will try it with coffee.

Tried it again, this afternoon. I must say, that this Oatmilk, is very creamy. It should be!! There are 180 calories in a cup!

I have to look at the label to see if it is the 'Barista" Version. That may explain the calories and the creaminess. It really tastes like cream!

Do you know when it will arrive? Please let us know how you like it.
I got it! It's really sweet & creamy, so I did half Oat Milk, Half water warmed in microwave, 3 TB Upouria Sweet French Vanilla Cappuccino, 2 Tsp Folgers instant coffee. It was really good and creamy! I think I'm gonna dilute all my cappuccinos with half water from now on. It makes it less sweet, plus I will save a ton of money on these pricy milks if I do half and half.

I'm gonna try it on my peanut butter granola cereal later!

I did some research on Oat Milk and I guess there is a certain sweetness to oats when they are being processed into milk. They don't even need to add sugar, the oats are already sweet! It was pretty interesting.

I looked at the container this morning. It is Barista Blend Oat milk. OMG, so creamy!! It is the Oately brand. I found it at Whole Foods. I never shop there, due to the expense. I was at the hair dressers, and it is around the corner from her. I stopped in to see what they had for my specialty foods~~ not much. The regular Oatly oat milk was too expensive. I saw the quart, saw the barista on it, and said, "why Not"? It was the same price I would normally pay for regular milk, but only a quart. I decided to try it.

Trader Joes is now carrying Oatly shelf stable oat milk, at a nominal price, so I will try that one.

I also have coconut milk, and rice milk in the pantry.

This Barista blend is unbelievable! You would swear you wetter drink half and half! delicious. Glad I got it to try. I think any other milk will seem too thin, after using this.

Thanks for the tip! :thanks: I have a new found love for Trader Joe's and DH likes oat milk so I will look for the Oatly shelf stable brand there. He also likes the Planet oat milk brand.

This morning was same thing as last night. Trying to use up the Coconut Milk, it's not my favorite. I realized I prefer nut milks. ☕

It's 24C / 75F and I just had a cup of my Cafe Mocha. Guess it's not just for cool days after all. :)

I tried a different tea this morning: Barry's brand Gold Medal Tea. It is very smooth.

It was not my choice to pick this one up. The store was out of PJ Tips, my regular tea. The Gold Medal tea is absolutely fine. I had 2 cups today, with the Barista Oat milk. I felt as if I was in heaven!

Really good. It does not have the 'Bite" that the Irish Breakfast variety has. This is nice and smooth.
