How exciting! Still waiting for my outdoor tomato seeds to sprout. The ones started inside weren't germinating, so I sowed some directly into the pot outside. I do have a seed sprouting in my cilantro pot though as of yesterday evening!
I now have 6 that have sprouted!!! Impatiens seeds 2 have sprouted

Old Navy is my favorite clothing store! and I LOVE their bootcut jeans. I love the blue color!
I really love Old Navy too! I was disappointed in Gap, all their bootcut jeans were out of stock. I love the dark wash better than the light acid wash that looks all faded. I want to try Gloria Vanderbilt & Wrangler too. My legs are really long, 32 inches. My mom got me some pants that are only 29 1/2 and they look like Michael Jackson pants, you know how he used to wear them above his ankles?

My positive is Dad has a new nickname for Maggie. He usually calls her "Beautiful". But I walked by his bedroom and overheard him say to her "Hello Prettiness."....Those 2 are so cheesy!

My positive is my new clothes from Old Navy fit really well. Here's a headless selfie. I wish I had gotten more of the jeans in the shot, but I don't know how to take selfies! They are really nice bootcut jeans.

Cute outfit!

My brother is supposed to come over today and see our new house (mask on, of course) and visit for a bit in the back. I haven't seem him since March, so I'm looking forward to it.

My positive is I’ve been doing things that have needed to be done after moving to this new place. Because I was so focused on my husbands cancer and kidney failure, I didn’t even feel like fixing this place up. There was a bitter pill to swallow as I loved my previous “house on the corner”. I put so much work into that house, inside and out, that fixing this place up seemed sad and daunting.
Good news! My desire to create a new space has kicked in after living here two and a half years! When we moved everything was chaotic and things were just about thrown in boxes. Finding things was very hard. So, I just stuck our things wherever was quick and easy. I’m enjoying chunking out drawers, closets, and things I’ve not used in years. I’m finally getting around to replacing things like window treatments and painting the rooms with colors we choose. Also, I planted a clematis and moved a small, struggling rose bush the deer kept eating. I’m enjoying this (although I will probably miss my other home forever) and look forward to making this place a comfortable home to live in...😃

I am so very sorry about your husband's illnesses. What a double whammy.
Every place I've lived in, from some apartments in some pretty bad areas, to 332 sq. ft. efficiency apartment in the landlord's house, to my current home, has been something I put my heart into, because it's my environment and in most cases, home for me and my beloved feline family members. So no matter what, and no matter how much money I do or don't have, it's important to me to make it the best I can. It's so good to have some ground to plant things in, too. I wish you the very best in your new home.

My positive is someone in a facebook succulent group listed a thread where people can post wish lists and buy things for others! It keeps your address private from the purchaser. I posted mine in hopes someone will gift me, and I decided to pay it forward! I've been giving myself about $100/month to spend on goodies during this time, so I spent this months budget on gifting others some items in hopes it will raise their spirits during this time. Gifted 1-2 items to 7 people.

One person had a Cat butt coloring book for $6.99, so I bought that and something plant related. My gift note said : "Hope you get many beautiful cuttings to add to your succulent collection! Also, my kitties Isabelle, Persia, and Katrina INSISTED you needed the cat butt coloring book. Enjoy! :D" :flail:I hope they get a smile out of that!

Most of mine I didn't mention to the people who I bought for, so they will get a nice surprise. Two people didn't have it set up correctly and I asked them to check it since it wasn't allowing me to ship to their address and tag me once they did, so they know. Another said they would be happy to return the favor, so I posted a screenshot that I purchased something (with details black out) and hope she will send me a goodie, too!

For sure, I agree with you, we need our feline family to make things feel like home. Fixing a place up to your liking makes it feel like yours. Thanks for your words of wisdom...

Now I have 8!! In that short amount of time from when I first posted!! Mine are beefsteak, what are yours?
YAAAAS! The celebrity hybrid, which should be a more normal size tomato. Mine are in containers, and I found a website recommending specific kinds of vegetables to grow here in Illinois and what container size to use. That was one of the tomato varieties it recommended. :)

I took a really long good nap today after the lady from my church picked up the couch. I knew I had to get up early and I think that stopped me from sleeping well.

But she was happy to have the couch and it was really nice to see her. She left our church a few years ago after taking care of our pastor when she died. She was also one of the people who cared for my BFF’s mom when she passed at the hospital. I watched her girls grow up. We went on a cruise together when I was in high school. I know she has pictures from that that I don’t want to see. Its been a long time and I’ve missed my church people during all this. So it was really nice to see her.

I saw a baby bird, (cardinal), on the birdhouse I hung up in the yard last week. I tried to take a pic without disturbing the little one, look carefully on top of the birdhouse to the right.

What a cute birdhouse and what a cute little borb! Makes me happy seeing him or her since I didn't see a single one this morning while watering the yards -- what a disappointment!

I'm back! I couldn't post here for a while because my computer's hard drive was on its way out, and it (understandably) took a while for a replacement hard drive to arrive. (I absolutely do not enjoy browsing the internet on my phone, so that was out of the question.) Then I was supposed to be receiving a data cable to clone my old hard drive onto the new one, but the store randomly decided to cancel the order with no notice. Anyway, long story short, my computer is working again! I couldn't live comfortably or happily without the thing, so I'd say that's pretty positive for me.

Mine are in what looks like a short Solo cup, red, hee, hee. I now have 9, looked at them with a flashlight when I got up, ha!!
I will place out front where there is full sun when ready to plant in ground. So exciting, have never grown a veggie, except for arugula,
from seed.

Total sun, low humidity, rare in Ohio, so I took advantage of it yesterday. Read on deck for a long time, had a rest, then came back out. My umbrella is a tilting kind, couldn't get it back up straight, got annoyed, strained my back and now the umbrella looks crooked. Oh well, it shelters me from the sun. Kaylee re-positioned my chair so I would not be looking at the area where the Vincie girl would always cut through the yard to Mitch's. This first summer is hard w/o her but I also think she's out there watching me. :rbheart:
