My cat is male and at 6 months went in for his shots and to get fixed he weighed in at 12lbs. The spca was like holy cow hes gonna be a big cat. He has kinda big paws. I was told he was the runt of the litter lol, his parents were feral. He will be 1 year old August 1st.

Yes, twelve pounds at 6 months means he will be a big cat. He has that beautiful 'bullseye' classic tabby pattern in his coat. Cats can have ancestors way back in their lineage to designate a big cat, like Maine Coon, Siberian or Ragdoll, but without papers he will be known as Grey and black classic tabby domestic short hair with white. Or shortened to a DSH domestic short hair. Beautiful boy!

He's not any particular breed, he's a brown tabby and white domestic shorthair.

Thank you I was wondering if possible to have some kinda lineage somewhere in his kitty past of a large breed .....

Update he is as of todays weigh in 14lbs

His fur is really pretty, almost has like a glitter shine to it? Not sure if that was just the photos lol. Does he have super high energy?
He is stunning and I would think should probably be 16lbs as an adult as normally they slow down quite a lot in weight gain. Which you know, is nice lol. You can start to just watch to see his body score to ensure he is at his ideal weight. I find some older kittens can actually become overweight as they tend to sleep a ton more and not have as many growth spurts as they did when they were younger.
