Rawz is having supply issues again. 🤦🏼‍♂️😿
I will finish the current case this weekend. I have another case that will last me 12 days. I went through five different online retailers and found one that had a case. Let’s see if they really do or if I get an email next week saying, “Just kidding. Our website and inventory are out of sync.” I found another retailer who says they’re out of stock but they let me purchase it anyway. I think maybe the webmaster has forgot to update the product title when they got stock back in. Or they really are out of stock and they should fix their website. Either way, I’ll let them correct their mistake if it is one. And if I do end up with two cases, it’s not like Krista won’t eat through them both. 🐽🐽🐽

I may take a drive to SF this weekend if that one retailer who seems immune to these supply issues has a case. I’ll call tomorrow and see if I can purchase it over the phone and come pick it up on Saturday.

If I could switch brands, I probably would. This is so frustrating.
This is happening a lot these days. Hardly surprising. Hope you are successful, though!!!

What the fur?
🤮😿

She horked up first breakfast just as I was plating second breakfast. I thought she looked a little rough and I thought there was something off with her not following me into the kitchen for second breakfast prep.

Then she wouldn't touch the second breakfast I plated. She hovered in the kitchen and even gave me an insistent yell when I wouldn't let her lick the egg bowl from my breakfast prep. "I haven't let you do that in years!" I finished cooking my breakfast with a cat in the middle of the tiny kitchen floor.

Okay, time for some trickery. I went out to the front room and picked up her plate, brought it back to the kitchen, and she immediately bounded up the Katris to watch me fix her second second breakfast. Thankfully I have two identical plates I switch between. I just moved the food from the plate she wasn't touching to the other plate and then back to her spot. That was enough to convince her that I gave her a new plate of food. She ate through that "new" plate like I actually served her a new portion. Cat logic! 🤦‍♂️😹

I still don't know why she barfed up first breakfast. She was so eager for it at 5. Maybe she was just too eager for it. She had been singing since 4 am. I found her snooze button at 4:30 when she climbed onto my chest. When I fixed her plate and set it out at 5:15, she made it disappear in short order. Judging from the empty second breakfast plate, I'd say she's no worse for the wear. 🤷‍♂️

Well, cats are notorious for snorking and puking. But you seem to have figured out her cat logic very well! :yess::cheerleader::goldstar:

I thought 3 hours between meals would be plenty to get her past a scarf and barf. It seemed like it just sat in her stomach and didn't get digested. I wish there was a hairball among the mess to blame this on.

I know! Does she love brushing?
No. She's fur on bones. Brushing would hurt. But she also isn't shedding. Chemo is probably stopping the growth of that coat that would shed.

Ah. Well, for whatever reason, it's good that she's keeping her beautiful colorful coat.
Her coat is fantastic and she takes beautiful care of it when she's feeling well.

She's lurking behind the laptop after getting her fill in the filling station. I guess it's really that time for dinner.

She’s still off. She coughed up a small puddle that might have been a “you took too long to feed me” mini-yak.

She looks a little rough after first dinner and she’s gassy. 🤦🏼‍♂️😿

For whatever it’s worth, tomorrow morning is another dose.

💩💩🤮😿

It could just be a dosing day disaster. But I also feel guilty that I forgot to put psyllium in one or both of her psyllium meals yesterday. So she had more poop to clear this afternoon than she should have to clear in one session. Except for the carpet kiss, it was good couple of poops though. So we're making progress, messy as it still is. The carpet kiss was a lot less than the brown Twinkie she left the last dosing day. 🤦‍♂️

I re-plated her lunch remainder on a new plate with a little extra and she seemed content enough to finish it.

Also, taxes suck! I don't want to pay them when we still have no evidence that the President pays his. And TurboTax keeps getting more expensive every year. But at least I'm finally finished filing this year.

Good.
Well, that's a good reminder, then.
Excellent.
And YES! Well, it could be worse. You could have to use the services of an accountant. But yeah, about Agent Orange and his ilk, don't we all know by now that absolute power not only corrupts absolutely, it also absolves the powerful of having to disclose what us mere mortals have to?:sigh:

No sign of poop since yesterday's disaster. This is why I give her psyllium.

Local pet food store came through yesterday and had a case of the Rawz rabbit in the back. I'm not sure why they are keeping the Rawz rabbit in the back. But I'll take it. Saves me a drive to the city and shipping charges from New Jersey.

Maybe because they know you'll be buying it. ;)

Probably true. Except I haven't been in there in over a month because I buy cases online whenever I can find them. New Jersey just notified me that they got cases back in stock. Tempting but I still haven't opened the last case they sent me. And I already have a tracking number from yet a different New Jersey pet food store I ordered from the other night. And the one who said they were out of stock but let me order it anyway, I haven't heard from them yet.

But yeah, they probably do good enough business on the rabbit from loyal customers who know. And they have the best price anywhere. Hands down. When I run low on this case, I'll be sure to return to see if I can score another. Although there is something to be said about Sacramento (who ships USPS rather than UPS/Fedex) and having a box of food show up directly on my doorstep in a few days. I don't have to get dressed or in a car for that.

Speaking of which, my feet are getting so messed up from being barefoot at home for over two months now. 🤦‍♂️

Shoes, man, shoes! Crocs? Flipflops? Comfortable athletics?
Do you know anyone at the store with the best price, that you could talk with about keeping regular stock for you? AND, do they deliver?

I don't know if they deliver. I also don't know what their supply is like. And they have difficult hours. They are closed or closing when I finish my work day and finish Krista's nightly medication and dinner routine. They are open Saturdays but not Sundays. I get sucked into the computer, even on the weekends, that I rather prefer point-and-click shopping to brick-and-mortar these days. I don't need to wear a mask to pull something off my doorstep.

I'm trying to remember to wear my slippers more. But so much of my barefoot adventures are half asleep with a demanding cat. Quicker I do it, quicker I get back to sleep.

That's why delivery is so great. I don't like going out to shop even in "normal" times, and I've got my cat supplies set on auto-delivery at Petco.com. I get emails reminding me of an impending shipment, and I can modify the shipment at this or any other time easily on their website. When an order ships, I can track it via the UPS software. I'm almost always online, too, and I don't really like distractions. It all works great this way. If your supplier is open to it, especially in these times, auto-delivery might work for you, too...

I don't think any of my suppliers know if they can get Rawz rabbit from one week to the next. If Krista was still eating turkey, we wouldn't be having this issue. If she would eat the rabbit and pumpkin pate, we probably wouldn't be having this issue either. But something about the plain rabbit pate flavor, Rawz just can't keep up with the demand. Maybe when the dust settles from all my recent spending, I'll buy the electric grinder and make a batch of raw for her again. I finally have enough gloves for the task. Walgreens got some back in stock and one of my Amazon orders finally shipped. Both of those are in sizes that fit my hands. Then two of my Amazon orders came in the wrong sizes. I can still use the XS but the XL are comical. I just haven't gotten around to returning those because that involves a trip outdoors. To the post office. Among other people. At least most everyone seems to be complying with the mask requirement here.

I just bought two sandals roughly the same style because the lower price one I put in my cart wasn't enough for free shipping. 🤦‍♂️ But I couldn't decide if I liked the higher priced one enough to pull the other out of the cart. Neither pair were all that expensive and the retailer advertises free returns. I like my old Merrell Evolution sandals that haven't been made in over ten years. I had one pair last me about five years and I got another pair off eBay that lasted almost as long. I like them for the velcro strap adjustment with a buckle closure so I don't have to fuss with the velcro strap every time. I don't know why that style isn't more popular.
Men’s Country Walking Sandals NH120?

And I bought another pair of Allbirds. These are ridiculously comfortable but they don't last very long before the support starts to give out. But for that first reason, I keep buying them because I haven't found (or seriously sought out) an alternative. A friend tells me I should just have these on auto-order.
