Was able to sit in my new chair yesterday, reading Pride and Prejudice, (Don't trust this Wickham guy that
our Lizzie is so inthralled with.) Had to use 6 pillows as the cushion has not arrived. Forgot how low these
Adirondack chairs sit but no worries, that's what pillows are made for. Sunny but not too hot was yesterday, perfect.
Rain today but I think it will be off and on. I have so missed the sun and being outside.☀:sunshine:🌅😎🌻🌇

Something to brighten the day :) A coming-of-age cat comedy
Sorry but I couldn't watch the video, I got a message saying, "video unavailable." I was looking forward to seeing Lily.

We had more storms overnight and it's very dreary outside but my positive is I can either get some projects done, binge watch tv or catch up on phone conversations with friends. Of course, Carleton will join me no matter what I decide to do. 😻

I listen to a few regularly.

Documentary on One (from RTÉ Irish radio).
The New Yorker Fiction Podcast.
This American Life.
Nomad Podcast.
Writers and Company (from CBBC).
In Our Time (from BBC Radio 4).
The Radio Three Documentary (from BBC).
Confession with Giles Fraser (from UnHerd).
The Confessional (by Nadia Bolz-Weber).
The Forum (from BBC Radio 4).
To The Best of Our Knowledge (from Wisconsin Public Radio).
RadioLab
Making Sense with Sam Harris.
On Being with Krista Tippet.
The TED Interview with Chris Anderson.

A few once off series that I particularly enjoyed were:

West Cork (from Audible).
S-Town.
The Nobody Zone (from RTÉ Radio 1).
Wow, quite the list! I'll have to check some out. Just started getting into podcasts. For my personal finance class, one of the group assignments was reworked due to going online and instead was listening to 4 planet money podcasts and writing about it. I was hooked! Very interesting, informative, and entertaining. This lead me to try listening to podcasts when I traveled to clean out my rental early this May. Helps the time pass by faster while driving!

Thanks for sharing your list of interesting podcasts!

I really enjoy podcasts. I like listening while cooking dinner, lying on the sofa in the dead of night with a few candles and eyes closed and on my commute (before the lockdown that is). In fact, a major positive of the lockdown has been a change of attitudes to remote working. That is of course little consolation to those suffering because of this wretched virus but at the moment, we hang on to ever little silver lining I suppose.

Izellah will be 1 year old on Wednesday. She has been doing really well with her training so I figured it was time to start relaxing some of her puppy restrictions. One of those being sleeping in a crate at night. Yesterday at Walmart, my mom bought her a huge dog bed as an early birthday present. Last night, we tried to see if she could sleep in it all night without getting up and she did it! I placed the dog bed on my bedroom floor, she went out for one last potty and then we went upstairs. I locked both of us in the room and I went on my bed. I didn't pay too much attention to her and just kept saying "Go to bed!" While pointing to the dog bed. It took her about 1.5 hours to calm down and lay in her new bed. But once she did, she slept the whole night. I even got up before her and I had to wake her up so that she could go out to potty! She was so happy to wake up next to me. I gave her lots of praise and told her she did very well. 😁

Excited to try these! I think they are made for indoors. Seems like I will have a lot of gardening to be doing the next couple of months to keep me busy.
Cool, thanks for the pics. I didn't even know you could grow mushrooms!

Got my chair back after much drama and I love it!!
Did somebody steal your chair?

My positive is, I was a having a really crappy few days and then my childhood friend sent me a PM on Facebook that said "Wish u were here to take a walk with me." Those simple sweet words just lifted me right up. If you get the chance to send a quick message like that, do it. It might just brighten somebody's day who really needs it! ☀

Aw, what a good puppy! Sounds like Izellah was super comfy. It is always such a joy buying something for a furbaby and seeing them enjoy it <3

Me neither, haha. Excited to see how they will turn out!

It's the last week of school for us! DD only has writing, science, and history left to do. We finished health today. DS has those plus reading and math. The math is a chapter test, followed by a unit test followed by a final test. Those unit and final tests are 4 pages; which seems a lot for his age. Praying he will just focus and do them! By Thursday and Friday he will be done with writing and reading too so that should help. But the poor kid just doesn't love math right now. ;)

No, I paid someone to put it together for me but she did not return it even though she said it was done;
she was ghosting me when I texted her.I finally got it back on Friday and I love it!!

Been raining for 2 days and is supposed to for the next 10 days,........hmmm;;...May showers bring June____?
The cushion came for my new chair and I love it but I still need 3 bed pillows and 2 outdoor pillows to sit in it
comfortably but then it feels amazing.

Cal was out for a few mins this morning but came back in without having a walk-about. Guess she didn't want to
get wet but sometimes it doesn't bother her. Now she is in the chair sleeping while making her cooing, snorting,
snorting sweet sounds.

I have sausage, gravy, and biscuits from Bob Evans that I got yesterday. I'll have that for brekkie
as there is enough for about 4 more servings. Maybe read a bit. I have some smalls washing now,
they smell so good swirling around in Tide Clean Breeze!

We had flood warnings here and the downtown area is under water in some sections because of it's proximity to the lake. I've seen ponds near our house where it was just grass before the storms. More rain today but my positive is it's supposed to clear up and be sunny for the next 4-5 days. 🌞

I was sitting in the study reading when I glanced out of the window and then did a double take. I could see the tips of two ears at the bottom of the window! I jumped up to get a pic, but the jackrabbit hopped away before I could get the shot. Not only do they have extraordinarily long ears, but they’re also huge. Pretty funny to see bunny ears in the window!

I took this shot the other day up the street from our place. I get a real kick (ha) out of these guys!
