you need to try breathing exercises :) there are many different complexes, from which you can choose the most optimal :)
Thank you, trying to make a schedule to get things done, which will help me stay more relaxed. I can try some breathing exercises, just sometimes focusing on my breathing is not as helpful to me and makes me feel dizzy, etc. The school therapist that offers relaxation classes for students will be doing some guided things over Zoom. I asked her about stretching because I loved going to the stretching when she offered it, and it really helps me. She said she was not planning to, but she would be happy to offer them for me, just one on one. So stoked!

everything, that helps you, is wonderful :) of breathing exercises, paradoxical ones are especially good, for example, you squeeze the chest, when you inhale and expand it, when you exhale :) or you inhale, leaning forward, and exhale, straightening after leaning :)

I do feel more relaxed. Although, the inhaler may not be picked up unless I need it or until things calm down because I realized I'd have to walk into the store to get it... I may try calling and asking if they could run it out to me. We'll see. Very relieved though!
Are you afraid to walk into the store?

Yes, and touching things... whenever I get simple colds they go straight into my chest and I require inhaler use, sometimes going back on my everyday asthma maintenance medication. (Despite not having any asthma symptoms in between these times.) My mom is also higher risk if she gets sick, too, so do not want to chance bringing anything back myself.

I'm sure if you called and spoke to the pharmacist they either mail it or have someone bring it by.

I have a cousin that looks exactly like Kenny Rogers. Whenever someone saw him walk down the street they always though he was Kenny Rogers.
My son's father was that way, but he looked like Tom Selleck. Didn't matter where we went, people would ask him for his autograph thinking it was Selleck.

Well my son is sick. I don't think it's COVID-19, merely a cold. However, with him working in the health industry it's hard to say. Even though it's mental health, they still get patients from the hospital. A guy was brought in with covid symptoms. Unfortunately, we don't have a testing facility for covid in Arizona and they won't get the test results back until Mon. Gestation is anywhere from 2-14 days, so my son's cold is in the ballpark.
Hopefully, it's just a cold.

My phone is dying. Thankfully, a WONDERFUL friend has an i7 phone that they aren't using now, so that will be on its way very shortly. I can still make and receive calls, and texts, but IT WON'T RING! I have to be watching if the call comes in. No volume on any apps, either, but the speaker is working. This is a bad time not to have a reliable phone, so I was VERY thankful that this one is available for me!

she will not get out of the car and touch someone / anything?...
Correct, Walmart online food orders are loaded directly into a person's car. She did touch the groceries at her elderly friend's house, but she wore gloves and wiped everything with alchohol to hopefully disinfect anything. The pharmacy also agreed to walk the prescription out to my mom's car. My mom said there were others waiting, too, to pick up prescriptions, so they must be making accommodations for many people.

My mom also has also been worried that her elderly friend's son is still working and helps with planes, that work with Amazon packages. (The son is also working much longer days, instead of his usual 8, he was bumped up to 12, and has been feeling much more stressed, which may increase his chance of getting sick.) My mom is not sure how many people he comes in contact with, but she has expressed concern, as well as my brother and I, about her going over to see her friend when her son is still coming over, even though he has been wiping everything done when he leaves. She decided to tell her elderly friend that she is going to offer to take care of all shopping and bills, etc. for her elderly friend and ask him to not visit during this time because he could give it to her. Which means, we could get it, if it already has not been transmitted to any one of us already. She would also cut down visits to only once a week and just to get essentials done. If he refuses to not visit his mom, my mom will say she cannot keep coming over because she needs to protect herself and her family. My mom has a nurse friend she talked to yesterday to confirm she was not asking too much, and her nurse friend assured her she had a right to ask that and enforce it, especially that my mom and I are in the "more at risk group."

It irks me because the elderly friend is extremely stubborn and abusive/controlling (she was fine with my mom's plan to ask the son to not visit and my mom coming once a week), so I am proud of my mom for putting in boundaries and wanting to. She has this need for years to take care of her friend. She was mentioning to me, yeah, her elderly friend is old and that has to do with how she behaves. I'm like, some people are just like that! Grandpa was a nice, old person! Don't make excuses for her!

Also, I was working on my hermitcrab tank, moved one of the old-butt lids, and the hinge broke and one of the pieces of the glass lid fell and scraped my leg pretty good... My heart stopped as I looked down as I thought I may need stitches, but it hardly bled, thank goodness! Cleaned it with soap, and put alcohol on it, and a gauze pad. Just need to monitor it and makes sure it heals fine. Poured more alcohol on it this morning, too.

Im hurting so much...I cant sleep..Im so empty inside and she hasn't passed yet..But the people at the home said shes transitioning in to the end of life stage :( ☹😢😥
Thinking about you, too, and sending healing energy. An organization I follow just added a self-care page with tips (related to virus, but would be a good resource for distraction, hope, etc.)

Fear won't win. – TWLOHA

Also, there is a page with resources for text and phone crisis hotlines if you scroll down. There is also a button for international resources, if anyone is outside of the US.

Find Help – TWLOHA

And please keep us updated. We all care about you and want to hear updates, not matter what those updates are. Take care and stay safe.

Boy, I wish I was dating someone that looked like Tom Sellock.

I'm sorry to hear about your son and I hope he will be OK. My neighbor who used to do my grocery shopping just had back surgery and my sister and b/l who also did shopping for me were in a car accident on Friday. They are all OK but it will be awhile they can do anymore shopping. Even if they could go shopping there is nothing left to buy. I am almost out of dry cat food, nuts for the squirrels, water and TP.

How wonderful a friend will be letting you use her old phone! It does feel scary not feeling connected to everything during this time.

Boy, I wish I was dating someone that looked like Tom Sellock.
I thought I was so special. He looked like Selleck back in the Magnum years. He turned out to be the biggest (insert colorful metaphor here).
But he did leave me with the most wonderful gift- even if I didn't realize it at the time. For that, I thank him.
