Okay, need some words of encouragement! Thinking of heading back to Illinois for right now because that is where my health insurance only works. School is going online for the next month. Feel bad about up and quitting work.... especially since my whole job is to focus on keeping the store clean and sanitized... I'd just feel much safer in an area where my insurance actually works! Can I get some words of encouragement and that I'm making the right decision?? :heartshape:

Probably because of COVID-19.
Hope you don't need to wipe your butt. There seems to be a shortage of toilet paper because of this virus. (don't understand that one).
Yes, that is the reason. No confirmed cases around here, but it is a precaution.

Haha, have a few more rolls, but have already thought about using rags/dishcloths if needed and just washing them daily! If I need to, I'll make things work!

You gotta take care of yourself! No one else will do it for you. So do what you have to do.

Is it safe to leave the refrigerator plugged in if I'm gone for a month?? It does not use that much electricity, and I just bought a bunch of food for the freezer... has anyone had experience with this before??
I would think so. We leave them on for years afterall. I was also gone in australia for over 3 weeks and still kept them on.

I can't find hand sanitizer anywhere :ohwell:
Good grief, just wash your hands with soap. The crazies are out buying up masks, hand sanitizers, antibiotics, bottled water, some even are stocking up on groceries as if we were going to have an invasion by a foreign army. With proper precautions you will be safe, this is not worse than the flu that goes around every year as far as being able to catch it. It's only worse in that it is more deadly and even then it's only about 1% of people who do catch it will die from it. People die from the flu too although the percentage is much lower (0.1%) People don't go nuts every year when flu season rolls around.

A stranger just approached me while I was out walking my dog. I tried to walk away from him but he kept following me. He kept going on about how beautiful Izellah is. He asked me if he could hold her lead. Obviously I said, "No!" And continued to walk away from him. Izellah started getting upset. She growled and barked at him. Even grabbed after his hands because I guess she realized I was uncomfortable and wanted to protect us.

He asked me my name and where I live. I pointed in a random direction and gave him a fake name. I got my phone ready to call the police because he said, "Let's go..." Then, he saw someone he knew I guess and he ran off to talk to them. He also said, "Don't worry. I'm your big brother. You're my little sister. I will take care of you."

God, I really need to move out of this area. Lots of gang activity and I'm afraid I've been tagged.
When a stranger asks you questions you don't want to answer then just say "why do you want to know?" It shuts up most people. You don't owe an answer to anyone just because they asked.
If someone follows you walk up to the next business and ask for someone to call the police because someone is following you. In a residential neighborhood just walk up to the next residence that looks like someone is home (lights on, windows open, car in the driveway etc) and ring the door bell or knock. It will make the person leave. The occupant will be understanding when you tell them why you are there

I'm starting an externship in a hospital soon. Can't be too careful. My mother started carrying hand sanitizer when she worked in a hospital, and has ever since.

Doesn't help if hospitals get crazy and you cant get proper medical attention if you need it. Italy has to choose between young and old right now when it comes to treatment because of the lack of resources on hand.

If I were superstitious then I would be in trouble tomorrow. Not only is it Friday the 13th, BUT I also have a black cat.

I saw The Stand....this isn't it. People like to panic.
People (like you and me) listen to the CDC and not the media. Too bad most don't.
