Oh wow, Mia6 Mia6 Callie has a boyfriend! That's so cute!
C catapault That's sounds like such a nice afternoon. I would have loved to be able to touch the raptors. Because our weather has been so screwy, are they having trouble with maple syrup? I'd have enjoyed watching that.

Headache this morning. Not bad, but it's there. My fault, I had one Smirnoff Ice last night while watching Outlander. I have noticed that, if I drink a Smirnoff in the afternoon, I don't get a headache the next day; if I drink it in the evening, chances are I'll get a headache. I don't know why that is.

Our friends liked our bookcase setup in the shed so much that they did it, too. Went to Ikea last week, bought the bookcases, brought everything home and set them over the weekend. Now they're looking for a large tv. She sent us pictures and it looks so nice.

Yesterday I went out to the shed to grab my long iPad cord. Opened the door and.....there were some of our neighbors with Rick. I looked around and said, "uh, hello!". He was coming back from his walk, the neighbors were driving up their driveway, saw Rick, and asked if they could come over to see the shed; they hadn't been in since last fall. They loved it. We had a nice visit. I need to get the other Keurig out there, along with some k-cups, mugs, sugar and creamer. We did get that leftover cabinet from the bathroom remodel out in the shed, Rick put a shelf in it to add a bit more storage. The bottom shelf stores gallons of water, plant food, and cleaning supplies. The upper shelf will hold mugs and such. So when we have visitors, now I can offer coffee, tea, etc. I'll put a little plastic container out there to hold dirty utensils to make it easier to take back and forth. I was out there last night, watching tv. Started Season 6 of Designing Women and then watched the second episode of the new Outlander.
  • Breakfast for the girls, walked 1 mile, and am drinking my coffee. Rick emptied the dishwasher and it's his turn to scoop.
  • Must grab groceries this morning and it's going to be a longer order this time. Last week, it was just cat food and milk. We also have to hit Target for meds for Miss Diva Beast. And go to the bank.
  • A quick vacuum and swiffer about the living room. The carpet looks and feels so nice since Dear Richard cleaned it.
I think that's it.

Mia6 Mia6 and Winchester Winchester No, the birds could not be touched. In fact, there was a reasonably close but do not approach beyond this point limit. The birds are all education birds but here they were, in a strange place with gawking people including small children. And they can bite. The docent told me she's got scars on her arms from bites.

Do you want me to put up the links when I get the maple sugaring entry and raptor entry up on my web site?

Gym this morning then a stop at the cable store. Heavens knows what mom did to her TV. Even though it hadn’t worked for three days she didn’t tell me about it until I arrived yesterday and I had nothing with to diagnose whether it was the TV itself or her cable box. So I am switching out the box today and heading back over tomorrow with batteries, new cables, new cable box and and table top antenna to see if I can figure it out and get it working. If it’s the TV I will have to go pick her up one.

This afternoon is my nephews memorial service. Something to just get through and over with.

Busy today...

Laundry, dusted and vacuumed, got another pot of coffee going

Fed the cat, watered him, cleaned his boxes, gave him his milk thistle, let him out three times for supervised yard time (two times he sat on the deck for a little bit and just looked around and filled his nose with all the various smells), and then went out front with him, just in time since the weather is getting windy and snowy. Another drink from the sink (we wait for him to finish and then lift him down so his nearly 15 year old joints don't have to take the impact of the landing--which he doesn't care for so if he can, he'll fake me out and while my back is turned he'll make a dash for it and jump down himself lol ), then another few bites of chow, and after getting a little exercise for his front end on the tall wicker clothes basket he asked for his blanket to be put in the sock drawer so he can take his second, longer nap of the morning.

Fed the fish and they're currently waiting patiently (?) in their temporary containers on the counter so I can clean the tank.

Once I get the pictures chosen, edit for - if necessary - rotate and crop, then resize, after which I insert the copyright notice - a mere bagatelle of twiddling, my dears.

Anyhow after that faffing around I shift the edited images from photo file to website folder, then decide on sequence - you see how simple it is to have a website?

After that the writing is easy.

So here's the link to the raptors at the wildlife art gallery with images of owls and falcon and vulture, carved birds, food and wine

BelleWood-Gardens - Diary

I must say I have no idea why TCS makes the links to different entries all look identical but there 'tis. I assure you the two links are to two different entries. But you'll have to try them yourself to check it out.

Cal is snoozing beside me after being out in the rain for about 15 minutes. The water just stays on the top layer of hair because she has such a thick undercoat, sweet girl.

There is always hope and there is research being done but neuropathic pain, which is what I have, is tricky. In 2017.
my ex pain doctor retired, he is known all over the world for coming up with treatments for RSD/CRPS, what
I have. I've heard he is still doing research so fingers crossed! Thank you for your concern💖

C catapault Thank you. I will check them out tonight.
Mia6 Mia6 You're always in my thoughts. :hugs: Chronic pain is no fun. I dearly love ginger kitties.
susanm9006 susanm9006 Sending you good wishes today. :hugs:
  • Breakfast for the girls and I'm drinking my coffee
  • It's time to make the doughnuts! And the beignets. I made my mashed potatoes last night for the doughnut batter, so they're nice and cold. I brought them out of the fridge to warm up just a wee bit. For the first time ever, I'm actually making doughnuts on the right day....the amazing power of being retired!
  • I bought some strawberries last night, so I'll throw together a few sweet muffins today for a bit of strawberry shortcake for our dessert tonight.
  • Visit with Rick's mom tonight. We have to stop for mandarin oranges for her. And her doughnuts. And maybe a bit of shortcake, too.
And that's it for my day. I'll be in the kitchen with my doughnuts pretty much all day.

Umm, Mia6 Mia6 if you were referring to the woman standing behind the table of wine, she is not me, if that's why you were saying I'm beautiful. But perhaps I am, said she, preening.

  • Going to appt. at the Cleveland Clinic Pain Management Dept. People come from different countries to have their pain controlled. I'm thinking about wearing a mask but don't want to be an alarmist. Not sure what to do. Going to snow later on but not sure how much we'll get. I don't like leaving Cal alone because she frets when I'm gone for a few hours or more. Hopefully she'll sleep. Helper must go, will write about that later. She yelled at me yesterday and I was afraid. She told me she had shot someone at one point in time but I didn't know if I believed her Now I do. They have background checks done before they are hired but I don't know how through they are.She is not working tomorrow so I will call Jon. Everybody has their breaking point and she may have reached hers, that is biology.

Holy crap, Mia6 Mia6 ! That woman needs to go! Now!

Not planning much today. After working on the doughnuts yesterday, I didn't get much of anything else done. Rick vacuumed the house and did two loads of laundry, thankfully. He knew I was busy. And The Beast has another name: Mom's Shadow. That girl didn't sleep at all yesterday; she was in the kitchen the entire day, waiting and watching for me to drop something. Now she knows there's no way she would get a doughnut from me; that's just not going to happen. But I reckon she can dream. She was exhausted last night from her day in the kitchen. I never thought we'd see her this way again. It's a little annoying to have her, literally, sitting or lying right next to me when I'm trying to get stuff done. And while I could say, yeah, she loves me, it's more like she's wanting me to drop something on the floor. I did take pity on her and cut up a couple carrots into strips, so she'd have something. But that just keeps her hoping!
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, and am drinking my coffee. I need to get my butt out to the shed to raise the blinds, mix water and food, and water/feed the plants.
  • I need to do the strawberry shortcakes that didn't get done yesterday.
  • We need to hit the bank today and also hit Target

What you’re describing sounds like abuse...and it sounds like it’s escalating. I encourage you to call and inform her supervisor immediately and to tell him she is never to return to your home. This has gone beyond just laziness; it’s abusive and an attempt to control and manipulate through fear and intimidation.
