Well, I finished "A Cat Named Darwin," which both broke my heart and stretched my soul. I'll be reading it again and again. I also, in a MUCH lighter vein, read "Hope Never Dies," a mystery starring, of all things, Joe Biden and Barack Obama, private citizens once more, and out to solve a crime. I was a little leery about this one, but I really enjoyed it. There were delightfully funny missteps along the way, and the dialog...well... I could hear those two well-known voices as I read, and it was FUN! Now reading the second (there are only two), "Hope Rides Again," and enjoying it, as well. It was kinda fun that Obama and Biden mention Biden's possible run for office several times. Mr. Shaffer managed to make these highly improbable themes more believable that I would have thought possible!
And YES, I am still working on "The Last Time I LIed." If I had an ereader, I'd have finished it already. Using the laptop slows me down.
