I have 3 spotted kittens with lots of white. Best I can tell 2 are black and brown spots on primary white, the third is white with black spots. Are the two with the black and brown spots calico? And the third just a black and white?

1 and 3 have similar coloring just different spots. Number 4 doesn't look to have the brown spots.

Thanks!

Going by the numbers on your first picture,

#1 is brown patched tabby and white (also known as torbie and white). In the second picture it appears that this kitten has tabby markings on her head, so she's not a regular calico.

#2 (the one with less white) is either brown tabby and white, or brown patched tabby and white. I can't tell from these pictures whether this baby has red patches or not.

#3 is either brown patched tabby and white like the first baby, or calico. You'll be able to tell as she gets older whether she has tabby markings in those dark patches.

#4 is either brown tabby and white, or black and white. I think I see tabby markings, so my best guess would be brown tabby and white.

Awesome! So one and three are likely females and the other two unknown currently?

Mom is a beautiful classic tabby and white so I'm betting they are all tabbies too! I'll get better pics eventually but they are super newborns so giving them all some space.

She is lovely!

Yes, #1 and #3 are almost certainly girls. Since mom is brown tabby and white, we can guess that their dad is red tabby and white.

With #2 it's difficult to tell from the pictures whether it has red patches or not, but that would give you a good hint about whether if it's a boy or girl.

#4 doesn't appear to have red patches, so if the litter has just one dad, #4 is probably a boy.

Awesome! No clue on one daddy cat or more. She's a foster pulled from the local city shelter so I don't honestly even she's an owner surrender or if she was picked up by ACO. But she's SUPER sweet, so she likely had an owner at some point.

She's been a GREAT momma so far though and the babies are little chonkers for newborns. I'll take closer looks at them when I weigh them and see if there is any red running around!

Thanks again. :-)

Just grabed a quick weight on them. Number 4 does not have red. Black spots only on white and is a boy. #2 is a little oddly colored. She doesn't seem to have much white on her (if any) or grey. She's black and an odd brown/orange coloring. Not quiiiiiite brown not quiiiiiite orange. Hard to photograph well as mom wasnt happy with me and almost positive she's a girl.

Omg they are beautiful!! To me they look calico like. I had a sweet little calico girl cat named kitty corner. I forgot how much I loved her sweet mellow personality. Keep us posted with lots of pictures of your beautiful babies! :welcomesign: :heartshape:

#2 appears to be a patched tabby / torbie in this picture. The red patches are clearest on her back leg :)

Couple more pics of the original crew plus a couple new additions! I'm pretty confident I know their coloring though. Black!  :D ;)

Gah what I'd do to just lay down in a pile of kittens right now.. Look at their little facessss...... :heartshape: AW!
They are so much fun to have around and so very cute at this age! All the way until they reach 6.5ish weeks. Then, they are annoying. All claws and teeth and potty training chaos!:lol::lol::lol:

Mommas a GOOD momma though, and she baked them in her belly alllllllllll the way to fully done so that's all I can hope for.

They are wonderful! You do realize that the black ones could have different fathers?
Yup. They most assuredly have a different father (and mother) than the 3 white spotted ones and the torbie girl. It's certainly also possible they have a different father from each other too though! Never really know with street cats and orphans unfortunately.

The little torbie girl is turning into an absolute stunner though. Gorgeous markings and striking colors. Im excited to see how she continues to color up.

The two little black boys are 4 weeks today, their older siblings are 4 weeks and 2 days. The primary white ones are starting to look pretty interesting as their white fur seems to be growing longer than their colored fur almost streaking the spots.

They are doing fabulously though. My oldest male is already 633 grams at just over 4 weeks the little tub tub.:shocked: and the torbie girl used the litter box (both pee and poop) within minutes of me putting them on the ground. So far, zero accidents from any of them and I know at least 3 are using the boxes!
