Sticker has been my love and joy over the years... She isnt actually a new cat If you look at my old content this is a cat we also had an issue with when spaying all the way back in 2013 I posted here the first time:
Uneasy about leaving cat at vet for a week Advice needed
I wanted to post something without it being related to having health issues etc , as the last few days for me have been stressful and depressing i wanted to post something positive and something that makes me happy.
Sticker we adopted from a neighbor when she was quite young, and shes always been an indoor cat it feels like we have had so many memories over the years that we shared with her.. My girlfriend at the time when we adopted her still now days tell me she misses her because she spent 5 years together with her while we were together. And she still comes to visit at least once a year to see her.
She has always been a fraidy cat who runs for the nearest hiding place when there guests come into the house, and the biggest surprise about her happened recently... Over the years we had quite a few rescue cats in the house... She never got along with any other cats I think she felt the house was her's. But the latest litter of a rescue cat they have an understanding and they can actually share the same room, I never thought this would happen knowing sticker's personality... While they arent friendly they can at least stay together somewhat Im glad the other cats understand sticker and give her room.
Another great thing about her is besides when we got her spayed she has never had any health issues (none that we are aware of anyway). Some of our other cats have gotten sick or scratched up that required visits to the vet.. She enjoys sleeping on my girlfriend's Nook arm in the bed and will fall right asleep for hours with her. Even as a middle aged cat now she still has energy to play from time to time which shows me she is happy, every cat has their little thing they like to play with. The funny thing is I cant boss her around, she will just get angry with me but my girlfriend can.
One thing we have to work on now though is her weight over the last 2 years she has gotten a bit fat but i blame that mostly on getting older and her diet.
