The leash isn’t possible.
I want to use the bubble backpack to take them outside. Is it a good idea?

Cats are definitely individuals, but with most videos I've seen of those bags, the cats don't look particularly comfortable or happy. Is there one you could borrow to try? Or maybe you want it as your cat carrier for the vet and such even if walks don't work out?

I used to take Bourbon for a while with a leash but it got so stressful at times when she almost often managed to get away from me. Last time I had to bring her out for some sunshine but I carried her in my arms, still with a leash on.
The other cats are not interested outside. Which is good.

I see those bubble backpacks but as mentioned above cats seem to be not comfie in there, unless probably for a short walk. It looks as if there is not much space inside.

Willow loves hers so much that I think you should get one unless you need the money for something else. I had to order mine from China, but it wasn't very expensive. It has needed some mending and it is a good idea to do regular safety checks, but it's made a big difference in her quality of life.

When I first saw a picture of one, I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. When Willow came home, I had a new baby for my sling and I certainly wanted to cuddle her instead of strapping a hard, plastic cage on my back.

But cats aren't dogs. The sling isn't safe in the car because of all the sharp, pointy kitten parts. Curious kittens can get in a LOT of trouble in the city if they slip their harnesses. Trying to go for a pleasant stroll with a carrier is pretty much impossible: too bumpy of a ride for the kitty, too much luggage to shlep for the human.

There's no room for a litter box in there, so it's not like you'd use it for an all day hike. We do "kitty on the half shell" to make it more comfortable in the car: lay the backpack on the car seat with the straps down. For long road trips, the backpack goes in the trunk and she rides in a normal carrier.

You take breaks, the same way you would with a child in a stroller or a grandparent in a wheelchair.

My boy goes out the back yard with me on a harness when it's nice, he enjoys the sun and fresh air but I don't walk him anywhere else. The backpack try it see if your cat enjoys it they are all different.

You might have to go very slowly, but you don't absolutely have to start when they are babies. I had a Senior Citizen cat with a phobia of the outdoors adjust to #vanlife #homeiswhereyouparkit way back in the 1980s because she had to. Her last years weren't peaceful, but they were fun and she learned to love life on the road.

I have used leashes on tieouts with 4 cats who liked to sit outside. I was home at all times and watched to make sure they were safe and there were never any problems. We never took walks though, so I can't advise on that.

It doesn't matter what you call it, just as long as you give the cat some sort of a cue or warning that you're going to turn the backpack around. It would be rude to do it while they were asleep or if you didn't ask permission first. She can't stand up, but there's more room to stretch out and sleep if there's nothing interesting to look at anyway.

I take my cat Luna for a walk. She would try to dart out the door. SO I put a harness and leash on her. Once we were out she was freaking out. Then she got used to it. Now that I think she is allergic to revolution, and a lot of people are giving me hell for taking her outside; I'm not sure.

I thought about getting those sweat shirts you can put your cat in.

Dario has been walking on a leash since he was itty bitty and he enjoys it. As an indoor cat, it's his chance to get out and stretch his nose, his legs and enjoy the sun and other animals around. I think it's worth trying, just start from square one and associate the harness with a favorite treat.
The issue with those bubble backpacks is that they get very hot very fast.

I don't walk Tuff, but he is a very lucky cat with lots of windows overlooking a park with trees, squirrels and birds. Very satisfied cat!

I have 1/4 acre backyard and the ferals live there but all I have to say is Let's walk the yard and we walk around the backyard 4 or 5 times three times a day. (when the weather is nice and warm of course). They love it.

I used to, most were indoor outdoor before but some trained to leash only and others both, mostly in later years. I used to take Angie and Syb in a closed crated on my bicycle as well, just around the block. I have thought of a stroller type thing for Quinn but he is too skittish for a leash outdoors and that type of thing so he is inside only. It can be risky as well because a loose dog can attack your cat on a leash or they can get out of those contraptions. A loose aggressive dog tried to attack my Wiz once on his leash but fortunately he ran under the bushes.

Hima goes out by herself. She hangs in the condo. I can't speak with personal experience but does your kitty handle being in a carrier well? If not, the chances of her feeling comfortable and happy in a backpack are very slim in my opinion. And bubble backpacks due to its material of the transparent part seem like it would be too hot in there when it's closed when the weather is hot. I have a pet backpack that also has wheels for Hima for emergency situations in case I need to carry her for a long way but it's this.

Have you tried different kinds of leashes? Some cats hate one of these types but tolerate and get use to the other type.

They are expensive but there are some strollers for pets as well.
