Ugh, I have been barfing my guts out ever since I got home from work (sorry, I know, TMI). Or, actually, dry heaving since there was nothing to come up after the first time. So now all my abdominal muscles hurt from the heaving. Trying to keep a cup of chicken broth and some Gatorade down now, hope it sticks.

I really hope this is "just" food poisoning and is gone once the offending stuff is out of my system. I don't want to call in sick to work because I left it in a bit of a mess (Monday, plus not feeling too great) and the person who would sub for me always gets after me if she feels like she has to tidy up.

Why yes, yes, it HAS been one of those days...what makes you ask?
:hugs:
I can relate. Glad I don't have classes tomorrow.
:hugs: Enjoy your no classes day! Any special plans?
Hey, people, I've got wheels again, not new but they are new for me. A Subaru Forester, beautiful blue with just a few small dents, inside is kind of dirty but I have some slipcovers from another vehicle somewhere that should fill the bill, at least there are no rips. My son came with me to check it out, no drips, the whole top of the motor has been rebuilt, it's the kind of vehicle I wanted, the price was right although the miles were a little higher than I wanted but it's mine, all mine, I owe nothing on it but to get it registered and get my insurance adjusted. Yeah!
How great!! Sounds like a awesome find!

Feel conflicted by my mom planning to come down to school for graduation, and one of my older brothers actually wants to come. Kind of feel excited, but there is also doubt for having them here. This brother refused to come to my community college graduation for the reason he didn't even go to his own. (Ummm... how about because you want to celebrate you sister completing something she was super proud of and she'd love for you to be there?) Kind of wondering if they are more interested in doing a vacation down here than supporting me during graduation.

I remember being at my community college graduation, and my mom, younger brother, and boyfriend who came, were very quiet when I walked the stage, but one of my teachers I had for one class cheered for me. It warmed my heart because I wasn't expecting to have anyone be loud for me, and she seemed so proud of me. :bawling: <3

I wasn't really sure if I want my family to come to this one because I don't need any negativity, especially if I'm still working on my next steps come graduation. They usually discourage me from pushing myself and downplay the positive things that have happened. And I don't need that. :sigh:

W Willowy - You vomited several times? I'd go to a doctor just to check and make sure everything is okay.

- - - - -

This is the year I will go to an open mic night and perform one of my songs. I think it's time I expand my comfort zone even further and going to that comedy competition inspired me. That was the night I decided that I want others to hear my music. Not trying to be famous or anything like that, I just love what I've created. I'm proud of my talent and I want others to hear/enjoy it!

No! Not feeling better. I did call out sick from work. She can complain if she wants, lol. If I don't feel somewhat better by the afternoon I might go to the clinic.
You should go. You may need IV fluids..:hugs:

I vomit easily. I have a crazy sensitive gag reflex. So I get dry heaves easily too. Anyway I've kept down 2 yogurts so far today so I think it passed, although my stomach still feels a bit delicate. Ugh, whatever that was, I don't want it again.

And I've had enough electrolyte drinks that I don't think I'm dehydrated, but definitely something to keep an eye on. Thanks all! :grouphug:

Well I finally had a computer tutor come over to show me some things (I've just been learning this thing through trial and error:fuming:) and the wifi goes out about 1 second after she gets here. So I show her my new beautiful crop of purple broccoli instead then finally call the internet company and 2 hours later I got wifi back on. Only to find out that copy & paste is so simple it's ridiculous. But the tutor showed me a few other things and it was a lovely visit with tea and specialty cookies. And it is 56 degrees outside and sunny!

I told myself I'd give him until Wednesday night and he still hasn't responded to my text so I guess I've been ghosted... He also did this right before New Years and randomly texted me out of the blue a while after. That time, the other girl probably didn't work out. But that how it be sometimes.

Which guy are you talking about? The comedian or grocery store? What does ghosted mean?
Lily, sometimes you find love when you're not looking. My ex-husband, who was the ex-boyfriend
one of my gfs, called me out of the blue after I moved back from Florida and asked me out for dinner.
I called my gf and asked her if she minded even though she had been with her new bf for well over
a year. She replied "I don't care but don't think it will lead to anything.(OUCH!! Well, she did care,
she was jealous and after we started dating she began calling him!!) We were together for 16 years.
Ten not married. 6 married. We divorced and it was very sad, but we had good times, it just didn't
work out. I had known him through her for about 2 years and I knew he wasn't an ax murderer, ha!!
You'll find someone, don't settle for someone who doesn't deserve you. :hugs:

Mia6 Mia6 - Thank you! That means a lot. Also, I was referring to comedian guy from the other day.

Ghosting is when you deliberately ignore someone's text and calls in the hopes that they'll stop contacting you. It's like saying "I'm not interested" without saying anything at all. Extremely annoying but a lot of people do it nowadays.

Apparently dating yourself is a thing? I had no idea. But I heard someone mention it and I thought "that's strange". Googled it and yes, some people date themselves. Who knew?
