Last night put the stuffy in Lilah's face-this time she just meowed at it-didn't get too pissy about it...I didn't rub it on Bee...nothing new...just slept in her tree and then layed on the carpet in living room-Bee sleeping on the bed in her room more-she didn't want to eat her slop this morning-took 30 minutes of cojoing to get her to eat it but she did..Lilah ate her dinner last night and breakfast this morning..Lilah never misses a meal LOL..She ended up sleeping in her room alone=I came out at 10pm-Jon was working on a puzzle..I went to sleep on my couch...woke up at 4am to Mr. Jon passed out on the couch..Bee somewhere in the house...

Then rush to get ready and off to work this morning. I have 3 days off this week so it will be interesting to see what happens..I may try a few face to face on the bed while sleeping type of thing..but Lilah still too full of P and vinegar to trust her alone.

nothing new to report=Lilah still goes nuts when she sees Bee. Last night she was behind the gates and jumped and smashed up against the gates trying to get at Bee-bee was walking by to go outside-Bee sat behind the chair and just stared at her for a few minutes later on...

The other day they got into a scuffle=I was working on a puzzle and heard this weird spitting sound-it was the girls=Bee was on top shelf of her tree and Lilah was trying to make her get down..I let them duke it out for about a minute then stomped my foot and Lilah ran into her room=door was shut for a few..Bee didn't seem too upset=I haven't figured out why Lilah wants to eat her every time she sees her-it's officially 3 months now that she's lived here..the 3 days off, I tried to get Lilah to roam around the house but she was content to sleep on the bed or in her tree in the bedroom-I was feeling alot of guilt before about this. But if Lilah is happy to sleep on the bed all day and night, who am I to make her stop? I haven't been playing with her as much either-she's always sleeping and likes it when I come onto the bed and curl my body around her and put my hand under her head..then she starts to purr...we call Lilah our bed buddy cause she will keep you warm if she lays next to you.

I was home for the weekend and when I had the door open for Lilah=she instead stayed asleep on the bed-so we didn't do any cohabitting yet..but I did let Lilah out when Bee was in her apartment-several times Lilah kept staring up there and once she was on the lower level which I coaxed her down by using her favorite mouse stick toy on wire...she has been sleeping in her tree most evenings then curls up on the bed at Jon's feet..she hasn't been as snuggly lately but probably because we kept the house warmer than usual. Jon's RA has been pretty bad this month so we been keeping the heat on 71 to try to help keep him comfortable-which the cats either sleep in the window-much cooler by the windows-or they stay on the floor..I was all worried for weeks that Lilah's quality of life is horrible because we keep her in the bedroom-but lately it seems that's where she's happiest...so I am not worrying about it anymore...

This morning set up the baby gates in front of Bee's bedroom and miss Lilah was laying there trying to see in and meow at Bee-her tail was flicking too but it's always flicking...she really wants to see Bee but then she gets mad at her and howls hisses and meows..don't get it.

Just a quick update-Lilah and Bee got into a knockout drag out fight a week ago=I didn't know Lilah was out of her room-she snuck out hiding and bolted right for Bee when Bee was coming out of her room-I didn't intervein for about 30 seconds-they were biting and spitting at each other till I stomped my foot and yelled-that didn't stop them so I ran right up to them and used my foot to seperate them-bee ran out and I slammed the door with Lilah in that room-she was howling at me as I was yelling at her-I know we are not supposed to yell but I can't help it when I saw Lilah trying to Bite Bee. This was NOT playing-For some reason Lilah sees Bee as an enemy and she was determined to take her out-Bee held herself up and Jon found claws in the back of Bee's back and there was quite a bit of furr on the floor-So we have stopped any eye contact or any cohabiting for a month now...and try again later...

We lock each cat up when the other is out-so far Bee has been sleeping on the bed when locked in her room more than hiding..she wasn't too upset after the fight but I was so proud of Bee for standing her ground and giving Lilah a thumping but we also worry someone will loose an eye=so we just agreed they will not be living together at ALL.

I even called the shelter and was ready to let her go but somehow I just can't do it. I can't give up Lilah...she's so cuddly in bed in the evening and ya know she spends most her time sleeping on the bed that if she's content to be locked in her bedroom-then she can stay. She isn't jumping at the door to run around the house=she's happy in the window seat or up in her tree. I have been training her to meow at me when it's time for dinner/breakfast.

So this summer will have to figure out someone to watch Lilah when we go off on vacation-it will be too stressful to bring her with us-she's not an outside cat and she hides for a week when in a new place=so I feel it will be less stressful home by herself than off locked up in a tiny bedroom as the house doesn't have any doors that shut other than the bedroom-but we could try it and if she's too upset-we could bring her home-but there is a place I can board her but I rather have her at home.

And now Bee is sick..Jon says she wouldn't even eat treats. Said she sneezed a few times..this morning I used the food processor and churned up a can of fancy feast pate and she ate 1/3 of the can..which is normal for her..she ate the packets of wet food too..I gave her the cat dose clairitin to see if that helps with the post nasal drip-didn't seem to do anything but she did sleep next to me and kept purring. I know she doesn't feel good..we all know how lousy colds make us feel...I sat in a steam bath with her for 15 minutes too-she ate some kibble right after but took an hour to get hot water after that lol..I will try again tonight..I don't have time in the morning to do the steam bath otherwise I would have to get up at 3:30am and that ain't happening! We went to bed at 11pm.

Kraken has been trying to catch this mouse in my house-we were going to let her stay out of her room last night but at 9pm she crawled up in bed with me in the master bedroom for her nightly brushing...the mouse would come out and she would chase it then it go back under the stove...we have 5 traps set in various areas but will have to figure out how to set up a trap that she won't be touching..

I love your nicknames. Do your cats still eat the Tractor Supply Indoor kibble? I'll have to try that again, my cats need a hairball type food I think.
We had to move to prescription food for Bee-she's on Royal Canin high fiber response and Lilah eats Iams Hairball remedy food=I haven't switched them back to tractor supply. That particular one has rice in it and it seems the canned foods with rice made Lilah vomit so for now we will just keep Lilah on the food her daddy had her on. she pukes on other foods so for now we will stick with these two. Bee is also on a small amount of miralax which seems to be working for most times and the fiber food helps too. I haven't done canned pumpkin in 3 weeks-just too much to do and to remember what time etc. Sorry for the long rambly answer.

Looks like Bee's cold disappeared=she's back to eating well and so far not too many issues-didn't hear anymore sneezing. She's eating up a storm.

Snuggles snuggled in bed with me all Saturday watching Bloodline on Netflix...that's addicting to watch. Snuggles really likes it when someone is in the room with her-once she tried to climb over the baby gates and meowed her head off to come out..so shuffled Bee into her room and she slept on her bed while baby gates went up on her room...it's like corralling cats!

Just a quick update-sorry it's been so long-trying to finish up projects at work-but nothing has changed with these two knuckleheads. Lilah sleeps in the master bedroom at night and Bee sleeps on the blow up bed in the office-they seem content to live seperately but I let Lilah sniff Bees fluffy tail every morning-but just for 5 seconds before Lilah gets a chance to swipe at Bee's butt. Bee flicks her ears and looks behind her with a ticked off face when this happens..It cracks me up.

We play corral the cats during the day=they each get a few hours out of jail and both sleep in the same areas each other sleeps-hilarious..Lilah was puking pretty bad and it was from some treats I was feeding her-they were from the vets and much healthier than the Temptations treats=so we have to keep her on strict food of Iams hairball dry and Royal Canine high fiber kibble then she gets half a can of fancy feast medley the fish one or turkey...found out rice makes her puke too..she still screams when I pick her up=not sure if she's got a constant stomach ache-I would like to get an ultrasound on her belly but the vets in my area rip us off and unless she's presenting signs they won't do it-so for now I try not to pick her up but I can't help it because she's a fat squishy kitty and I just love to pick up kitties.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
