Last night we had the door open and gates DOWN and the stinker slept in her tree the entire time..I closed the door at 6:30 and guess who wanted out?? LOL.

So Bee was in her house under the desk-put up babygates and Lilah roamed around..I was watching TV and fell asleep so not sure what she did..I woke up at 9pm and couldn't find her=Bee was waiting to be let out=so finally coralled Lilah back into her room-bee ran out and I went to bed. Jon slept on the couch till about midnight then went to bed. This morning he said she slept next to him most of the night.

I sent a message to my coworker that I won't be rehoming Lilah anytime soon. We will give it a year and see if they can coexist but Lilah seems content to stay in her room and that's a better life than living somewhere with dogs and who knows what kind of people..

My good friend thinks Lilah didn't have much of a life before my house and thinks she gets overwhelmed at the enriched environment..so maybe once we get to 6 months she will calm down. She still stays under tables/chairs or scuttles by=she won't sit out in the open if I walk up to her. She lays down but not if I am close by. I use the cat brush to lure her to lay down at my feet which she gets a brushing and purrs and licks herself while I brush her.

This morning Lilah was locked in her room, Bee was sitting in the hallway in front of her room staring at the room-so not sure if Lilah was talking/meowing/growling but this went on for about 15 minutes-till I ran out of time and shooed her in her room so I could let trouble out of her room...I put up the blanket to block the view, Bee went under the desk...Lilah ran out right away and ate her breakfast at the table I have for the cat food-it's raised up 3 inches to help swallowing better...then she ran down the hallway and sat outside of Bee's room..she looked like she was getting ready to scale the baby gates so I put the cardboard sleeve up top to stop her from getting in..and left for work.

yes nonstop howling. no hissing but the scream that raises your hair..I don't know if she growled but Bee growls at her occasionally=Bee always growls so I just ignore it.
What happens if you talk to Lilah and tell her to stop howling?

She runs away cause I stomp my feet LOL.

Last night Lilah was running around when I got home-Bee was in her room impatiently waiting to come out-so at 5:30 put new kitty back in room and baby gates up=let Bee out=she wanted to go potty in the other room.

Fed them both wet food-Bee ate on the floor in the living room and Lilah ate when I let her out=she wouldn't eat her food in front of the gates cause she wanted out..once I corralled Bee back in her room and moved Lilah's food back in the dining room-she spent the next hour or so picking at it.
Bee was in her cube under the desk in her bedroom...then we were watching the rest of Virgin River on Netflix so let Lilah run around-I played with her for half an hour-using that mouse thing on a stick..she loved it...

before I let her out Bee was playing in the same exact place but with these feather sticks-she was flipping upset down showing her belly and trying to flip her S Scratcher, she gets wound up and gets under it and uses her feet to flip it over-then rolling on her back is hilarious to watch..I touch her feet and she howls--yes I tend to annoy her-but she's so cute when she howls. And try to avoid getting swatted at :lol2:

Then she eventually went up to her apartment-I let Lilah out for a bit..When I take the gates down, she's like a race car driver, running like hell out of the room :clap:Its funny to watch.
Jon was on the couch and I sat on my couch facing Honeybee's apartment ready to holler at trouble maker if she runs up there=she didn't seem interested=but I did close Bee's room door-and trouble was laying in front of the door stuffing her nose under the door. :lol2:

Bee didn't sleep on me-slept in her room I guess, she did come out on her own-ate her slop and had to fight to give her miralax water-for some reason she didn't want to drink the water-got to see if I can add it to the packet of gravy snack so she can lick it instead of fighting me...then she went in her room, let out Lilah and fed her the morning wet food..and left for work..Jon got up early n came out to sit on the couch-so maybe he can get Lilah to lay down with him on the couch...and off to work...

Poophead is a cutie pie. She is vomiting again=we got some different canned foods-I wanted her to have a variety. the ones I am feeding the past week have rice-so tonight will try the other flavor ones..Amazon had them cheap so bought 5 cases of canned Medley's on Cyber monday. One flavor was 11 bucks when it's normally 20.50 a case of 24 cans. She doesn't like ANY other flavor/texture...she mostly licks the juice and leaves the chunks-but I have a sharp fork to mash it into tiny pieces and she mostly eats it.

Yesterday Lilah was running around and Bee in her bedroom-she was impatiently waiting to come out=so played with Lilah but I needed to cook dinner-we been living off junk food for the past week-made a nice Chili with ground beef and pork-didn't make it the way I like it cause Jon can't handle the heat like I can-it more tastes like scrambled hamburger with tomatoes than chilli but he's happy and that's all that matters..so I didn't have time to play with the meathead.

At 7 I finally got to lay down-wanted to see the new movie THe Mule=with a 7 day free trial of HBO-they had it on there-so Lilah came up into bed with me-I brushed her for a LONG time then she curled up on my left side and put her head in my hand-we stayed there until 9:30=then went to the living room-Bee was sleeping on the couch next to Jon-I closed the door for Lilah-Jon wanted to watch the Mule so I started it up again-I fell asleep around 10:30..no Bee on me last night-it was warm in the house-forgot to turn it down..she was sleeping up in her apartment when I got up..I made her miralax mix and added to the gravy thing-she didn't like it but ate some of it-then walked off-so played with her for 5 minutes with this feather toy stuffed it under the rug=she loves it...then persuaded her back up on the puzzle table to finish her food. she ate it and then sat there staring at me-she wanted her syringes of water-I thought it ticked her off-so I gave her plain water in syringes and she happily sat there lapping it up for 10 minutes...

Oh both cats are pooping and peeing enough-Bee is regular finally so the 1/8 tsp and the fiber food is working..and she;s running around like a nut instead of sitting in one position for a long time..

This morning Bee was laying down in the hall facing the door to Lilah's room-this started this weekend...so there is very small progress...we haven't done anymore eye contact yet-Lilah still beats up the stuffed animal cats so not pushing it.

Just put some hot sauce in it afterwards. Or fresh hot peppers or powder. That's what I have to do because of whimps who can't handle the heat.

so I didn't have time to play with the meathead.
Hee Hee. I love Lilah's billion nicknames.

I should get Demi a stuffed cat. He had a stuffed raccoon that he loved to death. Poor baby is desperate for friends. Maggie mostly ignores him or punches him. :vancat:

M maggiedemi Lilah went full throttle B at the stuffed cat last week. She actually jumped up and SMACKED it out of my arms-howling, dialated eyes, ears back. then when the cat landed on the floor-she sniffed it-looked at me-with this look like confusion..I did rub it on Bee before-she kept sniffing it-then looking at me about 3 times..it was hilarious..this weekend she was meowing howling when I held the stuffy and pet it and talk nice to it...
Monday night Jon took the stuffy and walked it across the bed towards her and then touched noses with it-she didn't hiss or cry...we will try it tonight..see if she reacts-but he didn't rub it on Bee so maybe it didn't smell like a cat..

No vomit this morning-fed the old food last night and the rest of can this morning. She was walking around more, Bee was sleeping on her bed when I got home=Jon had the door closed-he hates the babygates.Lilah ran off when I opened the front door-then I got to work trying to clean up after them-didn't get vacuuming done-and still got to wash the carpets where creep threw up, poor girl.

Oh Bee is now eating food out of Lilah's food dish in dining room-it's been WEEKS since she would eat out of it. So progress! She ate her food in her room too-but didn't touch the kibble I left on the puzzle table. Didn't sleep on me I don't think. She got some catnip last night when I closed the door to Lilah's room-she was in her tree gone to bed by 6pm so we didn't let her run around last night..I was watching something on my phone and Jon went to bed early-was mad cause the debate was playing when the news was supposed to be on but I wasn't paying any attention to it...men! I finally changed the TV at 6:30 when I realized they won't put the local news on-now THAT was annoying! That stupid thing was on 7 stations! Anyways Jon got annoyed at the TV in the living room and went to his room-Lilah was in her tree still.. Bee was in the living room on the floor playing with her catnip toys and rolling around in it-then she went to bed in her room...

Bee ate most of her slop this morning=I know I need to feed them together but it makes Bee so nervous so not going to try until next week-she will let me know when she's ready..Jon wanted to bring her in his room this morning but Bee was fast asleep in her house under the desk. So maybe today he will move her onto the bed with him and have Lilah running around the living room.

Yeah there was lots of middle fingers and :censored: OFF shouted at the TV! No WMUR weather update-only channel 5 in Boston at 6 finally put some news on, but I just can NOT stand that broadcast-I only like Channel 4 CBS out of all the news options in Boston. WMUR is a JOKE. They NEVER talk about any of the state bills/laws being debated/testify or anything to do with local state stuff. It's a shame we don't have a regular outfit to report on the daily happenings in the state capital. You have to read the state gov site and read the roster of the bills=it's really dry and doesn't tell you much..just what room/time it's being discussed and we need better news casters. Anyways that's hopefully done with and maybe tonight they will stop messing with the broadcasts.

No unusual stuff yesterday! Same ol same!
Bee was locked in her room-Lilah running around-ran to hide when I came in from outside-then later on I put the gates up on Lilah's room and she came over to start meowing at the gates-then she got on the bureau and looked like she was getting ready to rocket launch over the gates :lol2:
I even took down the top gate and kept saying=come on Lilah! And she wouldn't do it=so as soon as I lift the gate-she's like a race car driver, foot on the pedal full speed running out of the room :flail:

She's so funny, she only stays out of the room for like half an hour then goes back on the bed or climbs her tree to curl up for a nice nap..

Bee slept on me last night and was mad I forgot to leave food for her on the table-I used to leave some food but then she wouldn't finish her wet food so I figured if I held back on food, she would eat the entire dish today-nope! Just ate half of it-put the dish in her room once she went into her catbed under the desk-put the gates up, towel blocking the view-Lilah sat there slashing her tail around trying to look inside the room to see Bee :lol2:

Too funny!

Nothing new-other than Lilah tried to jump on Bee last night-Jon had both doors open-Lilah stays in her room, Bee was roaming around-but then Lilah slowly slink out to try to jump on Bee. I stomped my foot at her and it didn't faze her..stomped again-she turned to run under the bar chairs=kept stomping to get her to run back in her room-shut the door! We were going out so we had to seperate them anyways..
Bee ate most of her dinner but left some so gave it to Lilah-who vacuumed it up happily.

This morning Bee ate half of the wet food-added the water/miralax to it-she got the rest in her room this morning to finish-then off to work. Lilah and I slept in the bed till 1am this morning-I think she was under the covers=didn't see her on the bed or on her tree-but then when I was walking out the room, I saw her walking by so maybe she crawled under the covers and i didn't see/feel her? She's quite the snuggly kitty=it was COLD last night-I only turned the heat down to 65 and I just couldn't get warm. I will be glad when this cold air goes AWAY.

How did Bee react to this?

GOT MAD! She was getting ready to attack back..Bushed herself up then backed up against the wall and gave her the death stare...
Hmmm, now I am NO cat expert, but this makes me feel better that Bee can stand her ground rather than just run. I know it hurt me to see Finn chase Charlie and see Charlie run all the time. As much as I hate it when they tussle, I feel much better knowing that they can both stand their ground rather than one being bullied all the time. And someone on this site, I think ArtNJ, said that cats really don't like to fight. It takes up a lot of energy and resources for them, so they avoid it if at all possible. It helped me to hear that.

So what I'm gathering...if one runs all the time, the other will chase all the time. If, however, they stand their ground, they may tussle, but if introductions were done properly, it's more likely that one will end up backing down rather than proceeding to a full-on fight. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
