The phyllo/seasoned beef appetizers
BJ's has something similar to that, phyllo dough with spinach in it I think.

I was vegan for 17 years but I gave it up when I could not stand to go without pizza anymore
Yeah, that vegan cheese does taste a little weird. I had a frozen pizza with that on it once. Daiya I think.

For breakfast I had Kashi Flakes & Clusters Maple Brown Sugar cereal with half a banana & milk on it. I really like Kashi's cereals because they aren't overly sweet like other cereals.

I can't eat Daiya cheese either, it gives me a stomach ache.:barfgreen: My two favorite vegan cheese brands are: Kite Hill and Treeline.
My husband also eats Kashi cereal. He tried the Cinnamon French Toast one and loves it.

I think dinner tonight will be a mix of leftovers. :dunno: I have a lot of errands today and don't plan to spend much time cooking.

I'll have to look for that one. The only other one I've tried is Kashi Berry Fruitful. That one is really good, squares with fruit in them.

For lunch I had a veggie sandwich made with toasted sourdough bread-- mayo, sharp cheese, lettuce, beefsteak tomato, hard boiled egg.

For dinner I had baked potato, peas, carrots, cranberry sauce, and Simply Nature Spinach & Kale Bites from Aldi.
Ketchup on the potato and bites.

My sister and I stopped by Burger King and got an Impossible Whopper for dinner. She is a meat eater but she said she liked it. That was my second one and it was pretty good although I won't get them that often. I like their veggie burger better.

I was going to make chicken cacciatore but didn't feel like it. (Took a skidding fall while walking down to get the mail, which is still in the mailbox. Knee is O.K. but I am grumpy.)

So I pulled shredded beef for tacos out of the freezer. Each serving size bag has three small, separate, packages per taco: shredded beef, rice/corn/black beans, sauce. Put the still sealed packages in a bowl of hot water to thaw. Heat taco-size corn tortillas in dry cast iron frying pan. When speckled with brown flip over. Place beef on half, top with carbs, squeeze sauce over, fold tortilla in half. Flip, trying to keep contents at least mostly inside. Wait 30 seconds or so, then serve.

I prepared a number of these freezer packets a while ago. Easy enough to do - slow cook a chunk of beef. Meanwhile cook some rice, rinse a can of black beans, open a frozen package of corn. Shred beef, divide in portions, bag. Divvy up corn/black beans/rice, bag. Make sauce, portion, bag. Very handy for times like these. Does use more plastic than I'm really comfortable with but don't know what else to use and the bags are too flimsy to wash and reuse.

C catapault , I hope your knee feels better tomorrow! Made another batch of soup for dinner and the freezer. Today’s was Wild Rice with Ham. It is a recipe similar to the Potato leek I made yesterday in that it uses leeks, but also has wild rice, carrots and almonds in it.

Yes, I heard that and I hope whoever is doing it wins. Why even have a veggie burger if you are going to cook it next to a beef burger.
This is just an attention getter. Most BK locations are franchises. I don't see how it will do much by suing BK corporate. I don't think BK can force them to purchase/install new grills. Plenty of restaurants both fast food and otherwise offer veggie burgers/grilled veggies, etc. How many of them use a separate grill? I'm guessing few to none. Will they all be sued next? BK has had a veggie burger for years yet no one seemed to have an issue with how those were cooked. Why now?

Do Burger King ads or signs say that their burgers are cooked a
In a way that is satisfactory to vegans or vegetarians? Or does it say they have non meat burgers? Unless they are stating the cooking method or location it’s not their issue and they don’t owe it to anyone to cook their food a certain way.

You have to ask them to cook it separately.

For dinner here, I'm thinking a one pan something with chicken, maybe cubed and panfried chicken breasts and riced cauliflower, I'll also throw in some canned green beans with some picante sauce and maybe some mozzarella on top...

I didn't have an issue with how those veggie burgers were cooked because I didn't know they were cooked on the same grill. I would imagine a lot of people didn't know. I was just saying what I had for dinner last night. I do not want to argue.
