Hello everybody

What is a good choice of canned

With High Meat % and minimum amount of fillers/gums/potato-peas-pumpkin ?

Possibly with an accessible price point

I'm looking at RAWZ CANNED, apparently 96% of meat. Kind of pricey tho

Thanks a lot

Rawz is your best bet imo, the only one without gums that I trust. Also Feline natural and Meat Mates have no gums but the company that makes them lacks transparency and I don’t trust them. ZiwiPeak was good but they started adding chickpeas.

The following are food with minimal fillers but with gums. Some gums cause stomach sensitivity so you’d need to experiment on you cat I’m afraid: Hounds&Gatos, dr Elsey, Essence, PureVita.

Where do you buy these? I've never heard of them. Are they raw or cooked?

These brands?

Hounds&Gatos, dr Elsey, Essence, PureVita.
Feline Natural has canned and freeze dried food. Meat Mates is the same and also has treats. ZiwiPeak has canned and air dried food. Hounds and Gatos has canned and a new dry food line. Dr. Elsey has canned and dry. Essence has canned and dry. Pure Vita has canned, dry, and freeze dried. Rawz is just regular dry and canned food, not raw meat in a package as you might assume from the brand name.

You won't find these high end brands at chain pet stores (Petco, etc) or Walmart or a supermarket. An independent specialty "boutique" type pet store generally sells the higher end brands of food. The web sites for these brands have a store locator you can use. If there is no local store in your area that sells the brand, you'll have to buy them online from a pet supply web site like Chewy or even try Amazon. Rawz has approved online sellers to sell the brand.

Hmmm... I'll check Global Pet Foods and Critter Jungle. They tend to carry more specialized products.
