Did the vet check for ENTROPION...Entropion is a genetic condition in which a portion of the eyelid is inverted or folded inward against the eyeball. ... Generally, only brachycephalic breeds of cats, such as Persians, are at risk. Entropion is almost always diagnosed around the time a cat reaches its second year of age. You can google, and see photos.

I saw the pictures in your previous post and in them the situation looks a lot worse. Was this picture taken as the area was healing? If so, I wouldn't worry for now, whatever it was before, seems like it's healing and this spot near the eye seems to be the last one to heal.

But if this is brand new, if there is a feline dermatology specialist in your area you might consider seeing one. If not, maybe try a vet university and check if they can do biopsy. Skin issues are very hard to diagnose both on cats and humans since some look just like something else and it's even harder to make a comment through just pictures. To me this looks both like allergic reaction but also maybe fungus -- both can heal on their own but fungus can take months to heal, allergic reaction might come and go depending on the exposure to the allergen.

Yes these pics were taken while the area is healing...And its been looking like this for months...Since all the treatment of antibiotics n eye ointments were finished...Months ago...And I havent been given him Lysine cause it seemed to make it worse...Cause for months NOW I haven't been giving him Lysine...n I thought OK..Lets try the Lysine again since its healing n see if the Lysine helps it along NOW...NO...as soon as I gave him the first dose...Of the Lysine couple days ago..which ive stopped ASAP....As soon as that dose couple days ago...he had a reaction ALMOST immediately...the two red spots under his eye started to turn REALLY Red n sore LOOKING AGAIN LIKE it started out months ago when issue started ..So I STOPPED the Lysine ASAP...Other than THAT..that area has had No discharge from the eye ..redness was looking better...taking awhile BUT was looking better...Its LIKE the Lysine triggered the issue again...The VET did clinically diagnose Snowball with feline herpes months ago..when the issue began n he gave him (famciviclor. I think it was compounded ) n eye ointment...n couple other meds..have to look n see what they were..its been months...But u know it sure TAKING along time to heal...Im wondering if it WILL ever be like it was before...( the area around the eye n under the eye...the redness color. ) Im wondering if that area is like scarred...u know like when us humans have something n it heals over time but leaves scarring on our skin...And Snowball like everyday at least once a day or every other day once aday ...he WILL be scratching on that side as far as he can get up to it..but he NOT scratching that area cause he cant reach the side of his face or under his eye...Its like sometimes its itching n hes trying to scratch it but cant reach it...no NO he doesn't rub his eye or the side of his face...He DID when the issue was BAD months ago..but NOT NOW...But I can tell NOW it must be itching some...I give him Welactin which has fish oil for the skin n ive noticed he dont scratch that much....And was researching n found that the scratching could be related to the that ear HAVING fungus or something....Which could be causing some of the scratching problem...With everything I just wrote..what do u THINK???And of course if this continues...Vet visit will be in ORDER...And also apply chamomile tea....Any more tips ???Since ive sent more information in this post I just wrote in this long paragraph...Sorry...Trying to put out each n every detail..

Just remembered, years ago, had male neuter tabby, about 4 yrs old, developed open sores starting from corner of each eye, down about 1/2 inch. Vet diagnosed it as ...Rodent Ulcer Disease. Its called that, as it looks like nibbled areas, yech. He prescribed prednisone tabs, which after, a very long time, cleared it up. However, the outbreaks continued for many years, not season specific. And occasionally, his dew claw would irritate the area. He lived 15 yrs.
