Oh my! If I play this then my Mackie will come running. He has been deeply in love with Nora for years! Mackie also plays the piano and from the first time he watched Nora, he was star struck. He’ll watch her as long as I keep her on screen. I’ve often imagined he would be speechless if he met her in purrson. In case you haven’t seen it, there is an entire Catcerto that was written for Nora. She accompanies on piano. Nora is also a rescue cat like Mackie and lives with other kitties.
Okay, I’m going to bring Mackie running. Hitting play.......

Back in June, when this thread was crazy active, and we were doing a new music theme every week, Lari Lari requested WEDDING SONGS for the week of November 4th, because November 9th was her wedding day! Since June, interest in this thread decreased, so Monday theme announcement day kinda fell to the wayside. So rather than wait 2 more days till November 4th, let's start the WEDDING SONGS theme right now.

So post songs people used for their first dances, songs about weddings or just romance in general. 👰

Here's the icon we can use:

This was my parents' first dance song:
Just the Way You Are - Billy Joel

This was my sister's:
Can't Help Falling in Love - Elvis

Here's the Kina Grannis version from Crazy Rich Asians, because of course I'm going to post it:

And this is going to be mine:
You Got It - Roy Orbison

In honor of Lari Lari ...

We danced to "Have I told you lately", the Van Morrison version. My husband picked it.

For the bride/father and groom/mother dance (we did them at the same time), we danced to "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong

I'm not a fan of long lineups of "special dances", as a spectator I find it long a boring. So we had our dance and honored the father/mother dances and that's it.

I thought I'd add all the songs I played at my wedding. Just cuz...

During the processional as the brides maids and maid of honor walked.
Storms in Africa by Enya

For my walk.
Only time by Enya

As we left after the ceremony
Book of Days by Enya

Played while we introduced the bridal party as they entered prior to the dinner/reception.
Party rock anthem by LMFAO

As we (husband and me) were introduced as husband and wife, as we entered prior to dinner/reception.
Feel so Close by Calvin Harris

For the bouquet toss...I used the censored version, no need to give the old folks a heart attack!
Move B!#*tch, get out the way! by Ludacris

My husband loves Family Guy, so for the garter toss.
Shapoopie - from Family Guy

My Dear - featuring footage from her own wedding.

I Found You - with her husband, Imaginary Future. Footage from her sister's wedding. We're using this for our cake cutting song because I insisted we had to have a Kina song somewhere, and I feel this one really captures the spirit of our relationship

Forever On Your Side - with Imaginary Future. This one gives off more of a honeymoon vibe, especially with the video, but close enough!

I love seeing this thread so busy since it got slow right around the time I finally caught up on everything posted!
