I tell Lilith that she invented friendship when she was a tiny baby kitten. She realized that the world could be better so she invented it and everything got better. When she's being sassy, I remind her of the rules from the friendship handbook that she wrote when she was small like rule #1- there's always room for more friendship.

She looks at me like she thinks I'm nuts. She's right.:runaround:

After visiting the "crossing the bridge" forum, I asked arnold to promise he would never leave me.......ridiculous.

Not at all ridiculous my friend. We do exactly the same thing.

Baby Girl's nickname is Munchkin because she's so small. When she gets mad and stomps all over the house, (this time of year especially) I start singing the Monster Mash but replace it was "Munchkin Mash."

Certainly not... I talk to my cats all the time, and I say some pretty weird stuff too, LOL.

To Phoenix: "Where's my little Phoenix girl? Where's that bee-yoo-ti-ful little kitteh? Oh, THERE she is!!!" [Cat in front of me the whole time.]

To Tiger: "What a tremendous little tabby tiger!!! I've never SEEN such a tiger!!! Oh, no..."

To Boots: "Bootsie!!! Where's my sweet little Bootsie Cat?"

To Crackhead, in the style of Elmer Fudd: "Who's that fewocious widdle bwack panther? I've never SEEN such a fewocious widdle bwack panther!!! Oh, no..."

These are just examples of the things I say to my cats... I regularly hold conversations with them, especially at night if they're on my bed with me... Boots likes the second pillow next to mine, while Tiger & Crackhead are absolute mattress hogs, I have to relocate them every so often to make room for myself. Phoenix often sleeps on the sofa, or in the walk-in closet cat cave off the master bedroom. She's close, but not too close, she has yet to sleep on the bed with the rest of us, though she HAS jumped up to say hello. I still talk to her even if she's a few yards away, she can hear me just fine. Most nights, all four cats sleep near me in the master bedroom or closet, though they occasionally sleep in twos or threes on the pool table or second couch.

Queen Bee is a good hider. When we search for her and she materializes out of thin air, we always ask her "where were you?" as if she'll pipe up and say "oh, just under the chair." :headshake:
When I've searched for Cricket and she shows up, I say There's Cricket! Where were you? and she says (in my mind) What? I knew where I was.

I always tell each and everyone of mine..."You're mommies favorite, you are so beautiful!!" I always remind them too how lucky they are to be inside while the poor feral outside cat is sitting in the snow! (don't worry, he has a heated hut, but it still has to be cold when it is single digits like this morning in western NE!)
