My darling moggy, Oxley, is gone. He fought a tough battle to the end. I was so worried about letting him go too early when he still had the will to live, but on Monday night he let us know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was ready. The next day, he crossed the rainbow bridge surrounded by his loved ones at home. I miss him so, so much. Every little thing reminds me of him. There is so much I'd like to say, but my heart is bursting and it's just too much for me. I'd like to thank the TCS community for being such a great source of support and prayers during his final months.

:( Wombat i am so sorry for your loss, poor Oxley :( I am so sorry that your heart is broken to pieces. I feel for you and for little Oxley rest his little heart the poor baby, he gave it all :(

This pain you feel in your heart is the extreme love you have for Oxley and you also gave him your all. Oxley will always be in your heart, and Oxley will always love you from above in heaven. You are not a vet and you gave Oxley all that you could with the information given to you, the main thing in all of this is that you took your time to love and care for Oxley.

Oxley is now free of pain and struggle and is running free with all the angels in heaven in gods arms, being loved and cared for until you meet with him one day.

Wombat it will take time to heal from this, take time to mourn him and to realise you did all that you could do for Oxley. I was the same when Leo and Mc passed away, it felt like my heart was going to explode from the shock of it all. You are in shock at the moment and stressed out , depressed , feeling helpless, tired, sad, you lost Oxley who is a big part of you and you feel a huge hole in your heart and it is hard to breathe. Take a deep breath and let it all out as much as you need to. We are all here to comfort you as we all understand and dont judge you.

God bless Oxley and rest his little soul in heaven, and help wombat to greive her little angel Oxley.

Your precious boy is with you always, love is spiritual, not bound by earthly laws. He will be forever as close as your thoughts and prayers. When they leave us, the emptiness it brings to our existance and our homes is overwhelming at times. You will have to learn a new life's order without his physical presence, and that takes time, one day at a time......
He would never want you to be overly sad, just as you would want for him if you were the first to go, so he wants for you. That is what love is, "Death cannot take that which never dies", love is eternal. I pray your precious memories can bring you comfort in time, instead of tears. Try not to dwell on his end, it was just a moment in his life, his life had so much more meaning then just the end. His life should be celebrated, he shared it with you, andwhat it brought to your own life is irreplaceable, a treasure beyond compare.
My heart cries for your pain during this difficult time, I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for letting us know of your boy, he will now be thought of and prayed for by many. Take care.......RIP Oxley. You will never be forgotten, you will forever have a secure place in loving hearts. May the good Lord bless and keep you, until you meet again!

Dear Wombat.....i am also deeply saddened by your loss. Oxley was very lucky to have you in his life. I can feel the love as could Oxley. And I know you felt and appreciated Oxley. The grief is overwhelming. You're not alone. You have our support here. Come back even if it's to say you feel the same way. Do you have other pets at home? Remember, we are here for you

Wombat when you are ready in time , sit in a quiet place and close your eyes, and imagine you are not able to walk or see anything and are not able to talk to anyone, and all you are able to do is wait for somone to help you do things that you want to do, and you want to do things but cant on your own. When no one is around even if it is for a few minutes for oxley it would have been forever.

Oxley is free from this suffering and his illness was not caused by you, you gave it your all, your love, time, heart and soul to oxley but oxley didnt have a quality of life, oxley tried but i think he died from sadness and lonliness even though he was never really alone, it would have been very stressfull for oxley even if he didnt show it.

I am sorry for your loss :(

For many years of my life, I struggled with trying to understand why it hurt so badly when we loose a loved one, human or pet. I lost my dad when I was 18. He was only 42. I didn't think anything could ever cause that much sorrow and pain in my life again. I was wrong!

I have now come to find in my later years that loosing a pet, especially a cat, seems to hurt me more than any other kind of loss. I believe the reason for this is because we have so much of our life, love, time and caring invested in these little guys when they pass, they take so much of us with them. They take a big chunk of our heart, then they just run across that ole rainbow bridge to meet and play with the ones that have gone on before them, leaving us behind to do as we will.

Your Moxley is at peace now, he belongs to the Angles, never to hurt again. While your heart is heavy today, and everything looks so dark, there will be brighter days ahead. Look forward to them and remember Moxley with a smile, that's what he would want. God bless you.

Very true Will. Our grief from losing a cat is often far heavier than a human relation.

Rest you gentle, Oxley, dream you deep. Your pawprints are on someone's heart forever.

And now you have done the most unselfish act of all...You opened that Gate between This Adventure and the Next Great Adventure, and sent Oxley on his way with your love as a guide, to light his way. Someday, you will stand at that Gate to begin your own journey, and you may be very sure that Oxley will send his love back to you, to guide you Home to him, forever.
