Considering the posts after this one, I'm reasonably certain that what it means is...they've had a disagreement, settled it in the way cats always do, and have now reached a new level of understanding one another.

LOL, and I use the vet. Last time I attempted to clip claws at home, I ended up with three stitches. Hekitty is not a cat to be lightly trifled with. She wasn't trying to hurt me, she was simply struggling hard. She's very strong, and her back paw got me good!
I know the feeling, Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 -- our angel Tashi used to rip me to shreds during my attempts to clip her hypodermic claws. She was very scared of the procedure, for some reason. If her claws weren't SO sharp and SO long, I would have just let her handle it in her own way.

Binged watched some period dramas during the weekend.

Gotta say people back then were thirsty af. Like dude in Far From The Maddening Crowd gets the most generic roses are red violets are blue Valentine card from a woman he has barely said a word to (on screen, anyway) and then the next thing you know he shows up at her house and is like I WANT MORE THAN ANYTHING TO MARRY YOU!
DeadDismalBrant-size_restricted.gif

Like dam boy
tenor (3).gif

The chick then marries a dude with a porn-stache after making out with him in the woods after some weird sword-swinging thing.
HandsomeShoddyCormorant-size_restricted.gif

Like seriously, just marry the hot farmer dude with arms the size of my thigh who proposed to you eight minutes into the movie and end my suffering.

I also ate up every angsty second of North&South on Netflix and loved it. That ending had me melting into a forever-alone-due-to-high-expectations-because-of-moments-like-this puddle.

Trying to decide if I should continue watching BBC's Jane Eyre 🤔

I had an ultrasound today - I'm 6 weeks, 3 days. Not at a doctor's office - at a clinic where volunteers work to get some experience. However, they send the pictures to a doctor to have them checked. They noticed a dark spot and didn't know what it was. The doctor has already looked over the pictures and thinks it's a cyst. I've been having pain lately. I thought it might be things stretching and moving and whatnot, but it's worse than it was with Aedan and starting earlier. They said the cyst would explain my pain and I'm supposed to have it looked at again in 2 weeks to see if there are any changes. They offered to do it there, but conveniently, my appointment with my OB is October 29. I'm going to call her and have her request the images so she knows what's going on. And they said it shouldn't cause any problems with the pregnancy. I don't know much about cysts. All I know is that it HURTS. And it seems to be worse since the ultrasound.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. :redheartpump:
Glad you had the scan for dating and viability. I was an US Tech, dealing with high risk pregnancies. While I have not worked in several years, perhaps I can help a bit.

Ovarian cysts are common during pregnancy. A small cyst is necessary to keep the pregnancy viable, until the placenta is fully formed and functioning. It secretes hormones which allow the baby to thrive.

The cyst should be completely gone by 10-12 weeks. Some cysts do bleed into themselves~~ that happens even during non-pregnant woman. That is no big deal. They will just monitor it, periodically, checking on size and appearance.

Your pregnancy and the fetus are in no danger from the cyst.

The pain may be from the Tech pushing down on the area; especially if you had an internal ultrasound, or the tech applied too much pressure. If the pain does not subside, contact your doctor.

Occasionally cysts can rupture, torse and cause pain. That happened to me, while I was working, non-pregnant. I kept scanning myself, watching it drain. Yup--glutton for punishment. I was working in a hospital, and had OB/Gyn doctors all around me.

If this happens, It is painful; but not detrimental to the pregnancy at all..

The cyst will in no way harm the pregnancy. More of an annoyance to you. Many woman have them, and do not realize it.

Only if it continues to enlarge, over 5 cm, then it will be closely monitored.

I am sure you have a teeny, tiny cyst.. It is early in your pregnancy.

Please forget about this, until you have your next ultrasound, and enjoy be pregnant---if you can: morning sickness, etc....
Things should be fine....

Hope this info helps and does not stress you out..

(((hugs))

It's way too early for Christmas / holiday stuff :nono: The Container Store already has their Holiday Shop available to POP members: Holiday Shop | The Container Store
Christmas stuff has been on shelves here since before school started which was in August. The Halloween stuff was out in early August, then the Thanksgiving stuff about a week later then the Christmas stuff. All were out by 8/20. It's insane.

Alicia88 Alicia88 Congrats on your pregnancy and yes cysts are common for us women :rolleyes3: I've had ovarian cysts all the time in my younger years..yes they hurt..hoping it goes away soon and stops giving you pain!! Heating pads were helpful at the time followed by ice packs and back and forth...

Lilah is still a poop head and chases Bee whenever she sees her..Bee is beyond annoyed and hisses at her :flail:Bee hissing is like a dainty sneeze...it's so dainty that I can't help laughing! So we let Lilah out of her room for an hour a day while Bee watches up high from her high rise apartment. Usually she just goes back to sleep but occasionally she watches Lilah with this pissy mad face that cracks me up..it's kind of poetic justice=Bee used to chase EVERY single cat here so now she's getting a taste of her own medicine...

Last night snuggled in the bed for a bit and Lilah demanded that I open the blankets and she curled up right against me with the blankets on her...crazy cat...she really is a sweety but man she gets so MAD at Bee

At this rate it will be Christmas before these two cohabit together.

Thanks for the information about cysts! It did make me feel better.
So far, I haven't had any morning sickness. Occasional mild nausea and I threw up after Aedan made a particularly nasty present in his diaper, but other than that, I've been fine.

We're all headed to the health department to get flu shots. Fun times.

I was wondering if I gave too much information. I do not want you to worry about it..
Sometimes; as with me, knowing a bit, helps.

You can tell how much disposable income the general public has by how early stores put out holiday items.

Poophead? Hee Hee, sounds like she's a member of the family already.:redheartpump:
There you are, Darlin! You were missed! Good to see you out and about on the forums again!

I don't know what it is but I'm not the best at social queues.

What should I do if someone looks at me and half smiles but seems too shy to approach me? Does it mean I'm staring at them too much??

We make eye contact frequently and they always glance my way (looking at me I'm guessing) but we never talk even though there have been multiple opportunities to.

Well work today sucks ass so far. I usually go on break at 7. I didn't get out until 8:23 because patients kept being put up for discharge and I don't like leaving when more than one room is going to need to be flipped. Well one discharge turned into five, then six, and the nurses and doctors took forever to get them out of here and you never really know how long it's gonna be. Could be three minutes or an hour so I waited it out.

I could have gone on three breaks.

The nurses also tangled wires, and got fluids all over the floors so most rooms were not a simple quick flip.

So I was pretty hangry and just wanted to sit dammit. Then, I was finally down to one discharge and was like screw it and went to eat. Finally. Thank God. Food here I come.

I put my chili in the microwave and hear a loud pop and think it's just the meat popping.

I open the microwave and the bowl was broken in half. Who knows if there was glass mixed into the chili so I had to toss my food and I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel like crying. I was tired (still am), frustrated and hungry and my food was now ruined.

So yeah, I had two pieces of bread with butter and a Reece's peanut butter cup for dinner.

Good times.

Have about an hour left. Thank God.

I would approach him and just strike up a conversation. Ask if he'd like to have a coffee or somehing.
Make it casual. Make certain you're wearing a fetching ensemble that day and have your hair styled nicely. :heartshape:

Lilah still being a brat. Jon opened the door yesterday to let her roam-she immediately zoomed into the huge cat tree and started growling at Bee...so he said he yelled at her and she ran back into the bedroom and he shut the door. I told him-next time you open the door-play with her with that fishing pole toy that I showed him-she will happily chase it for half an hour..the trick is to get her aggression out and wear her out so she will go sleep somewhere instead of being a shithead to Bee. :rolleyes3: MEN! :dunno:

I let her out of her room after she eats her dinner at 5:30 and by 6:30 she was bugging me and meowing-she was telling me it's time to go snuggle in bed-I been laying in bed at 6pm to spend time smoothing her...I moved over and made room for her and she again crawled back under the covers for a bit...she sure loves to snuggle..Too bad she is so aggressive to Bee...Bee still terrorized so we have to move very very slow with integration.
