This has happened several times. My Kirsten went to the Bridge on 7 October, 2016. I have a squeaky step and I always knew she was coming upstairs when I heard it. Well, after she passed away, I sometimes heard the squeaky step; I'd go to the hallway and no one was there. It has been happening more frequently since the Vincie girl went to the bridge on 26 August and I think she is checking up on us to see if we're ok.

Not an entry just two experiences :

First Experience: A few nights after when Leo passed away in january 2019 and my last cat MC passed away in March 2019:
I lit my first cigarette and let out a huge puff and looked straight into the distance and looked to my left. All of a sudden i see the smoke accumulating together about 70 cm away from me, forming a medium thickness tail and body the size of Leo 6.5kg cat walking slowly towards my left towards the stairs which i am sitting on , as i am watching this smoke moving slowly towards me, i only see the start of the cats shoulder to its belly and tail forming , i am watching the tail curve in the air as it gets closer and it changes slowly into a bushy tail still walking towards me (like two cats blending together as one) , slowly walking, going up the stairs to my left as it reaches the second stair, then as it reaches the second stairs near my knees , i can see the two blended cats leo and Mc's head , defined ears and the fur at back of their neck and i was staring at it to my left side right next to me for a good 10 seconds then it slowly disappears and vanishes into darkness . This smoke aparition of two cats was clear outline.

Second Experience:
3 nights ago i went to print out a photo of Leo as i am trying to create a toy statue version of leo and mc with needle felting and i was trying to figure out Leos fur tone colours matching it to a specfic yellow and was having difficulties, my printer was working fine the day before and the yellow cartridge was refilled a few days before. When i was looking at the photo on the screen i was getting this weird feeling of sadness .So i clicked print, and then my printer is saying error telling me yellow cartrige needs to be refilled and to enter the code Y, i kept following all the error steps and the printer wouldnt work for 15 min, i changed yellow cartridge again, i ran all alignments etc kept pressing y,i kept looking at the photo on screen with this weird uncomfortable feeling then i realised the printer was tilted to its left. I have a feeling it was Leo as he was ill with a limping left leg he was put to sleep 4 months after , asking me why with the letter Y on the printer screen, and the printer being tilted to the left was saying something about his left leg.

A third one: 4 nights ago i was again sitting on back step having a smoke at night. Then out of the corner of my eye near the BBQ i see a paw and then leo coming around the BBQ and then he sits there like he used to tilting his head down to his left and then he disapeared. He was as clear as day, he wasnt an apparition, transparent or anything it was like he was physically there for that few seconds like in the photo of my profile he is the cat on the left.

Also at night in the back yard i sometimes see a black shadow moving past slowly in the corner of my eyes near the grass and porch. I think it is MC , when she was alive and in the backyard at night she was very hard to see as her fur looks black even though she is grey with the torch on and had this shadowy spot on the floor look to her if the light wasnt directly pointed to her. At night she would sit a few meters away from me and would wait for me to get up and go to her. So i think its her.

I noticed that when these apparitions or apearances of my cats happen is when my mind is blank and i am not thinking of anything at all and i am in a very calm relaxed frame of mind in that moment ( i dont smoke marijuana or do any drugs lol). Its like time has stopped for a few seconds or minutes , i dont hear surounding noises of street ,cars trees or birds, its just utter silence and calmness . Almost like i am meditating with my eyes open its hard to explain.

My parents have a walk in closet and I needed to get a blanket off one of the shelves. I reached for the blanket when all of the sudden two yellow eyes blinked at me from just above where I was reaching. I jumped back startled at the sight. Fangs flashed as a mouth opened and yawned with a pink tongue unfurling. I had woken the sleeping Nightfury who is a dark inky black and was invisible in the dark corner of the closet. Claws flashed as he stretched out and jumped lightly down from his perch, annoyed at me for disturbing his slumber.

ETA, this is Nightfury yawning.

And in general.

Shortly after my husband and I got married, we decided we needed a cat. I adopted a Siamese-mix who has long ago Crossed the Bridge. One night, when she was still young, she saw something that my husband and I could not see. She hissed, spit, and growled at this invisible being for at least half and hour. I was terrified, thinking there was a ghost in my house. DH was concerned for our cat and kept talking to her in a soothing voice. She ignored him. She eventually calmed down on her own, and we never learned what it was that she was looking at.

I wouldn't necessarily call this spooky, maybe elements of supernatural and comfort?

It's become a family belief that when a loved passes, they will visit you in your dreams. When my late cat, Willie, died in August of 2017, I was devastated. I had had her for 17 years, over half of my life, and she was my baby and definitely my soul cat. I woke each morning hoping that she had visited me in my dreams and worried that she did visit but I had forgotten the dream. About a month after she died, I woke up and was in this kind of half-awake state and I heard her purring and felt her weight on my chest like she used to do when I slept. It was bittersweet in that I was comforted by that moment but also still desperately sad about her being gone. She still visits me sometimes, usually in that half-awake state, and she's sleeping somewhere near me like she used to.

THE GHOST CAT, MEOW COME HERE

When I was younger I had a terrifying nightmare. I was Sharptooth, my favorite tomcat. I/Sharptooth could only see out of one eye (right) and everything was blurry and light sharp and painful to the working eye. I/Sharptooth try to back further into hiding as a scary shape approaches. The barrel I/Sharptooth am hiding behind is suddenly moved and something moves very fast into my vision... then pain and blackness. I, back in my own body, wake up crying and screaming.

A day or two later my sister and I were walking along the road down by where the creek crosses under it. As we walk towards the house we hear a meow. My sister asks if I heard a kitty, and we look towards where the meow came from but don't see anything. Excited because we loved our cats we pick up our pace. As we pass where the weeds end we hear this time "Meow, come here." We stop, confused now and proceed slowly, again look in that direction. We now see a odd looking tabby cat on a round bale. Again we both clearly hear a "Meow, come here." The cat had appeared to have meowed while these words were spoken. I take a few steps towards the cat, confused by what was going on, I mean cats don't speak English! The cat didn't appear solid, but it's markings are clearly visible. Suddenly it dawns on me, I recognize this cat. My nightmare was me in Sharptooth's body watching his last moments my nightmare was real. His left eye is gone, and the tabby and white markings are Sharptooth's. I start to run away which causes my sister to run.

We try to tell Linda (bio-mother), she calls me a liar and says oh, you must be seeing the ghost of Precious (Her old cat). Even though my sister saw the same thing, I get punished for 'lying.'

--------------------------------------
Sharptooth is not the only one I've seen after death. He's not the only one I've had visions within. I also seem to be very sensitive with sensing death or bad injury/sickness. I know people will probably think my story is crazy, perhaps it is... perhaps the abuse I suffered made me crazy. Just please be respectful.

One summer night, I was staying over at my aunt’s house. It was just before dawn, and I was drifting back off to sleep, warm and comfortable.

Then, suddenly, I couldn’t breathe.

I was choking to death, and my face was getting hotter and hotter. My hands were clawing at the thing around my throat, but I couldn’t get it off. A huge pair of demonic, furry arms had wrapped themselves around my neck, smothering my nose and mouth. I felt the heavy weight pressing and rattling against my chest. There was no escape!

All at once, I woke up.

My nightmare faded quickly as I realized that although there was a lot of fur in my face, and a heavy weight on my neck, there was no demon in sight...

... nope, no demons, just Tessa (one of my aunt’s two very fluffy Balinese cats), who is notorious for lying on your neck like a scarf and smothering—ahem, *cuddling* you while you sleep.

Well I wasn't going to do one, but this is fun so I'll put in an entry

So here's the entry:

I call Prince and Nikita the ghost cat and shadow cat respectively (That's a tale I put in the cat's meow) because Prince's fur is so light (more of a salmon/ginger color, or pale brown) that at nighttime with no lights except the moonlight, he looks like an all white cat with wide black eyes....and Nikita's all black and slowly creeps around at night; but let me get into another creepy aspect of them.

They are watchers, and when I say watchers, I refer to an experience that happened to me on a couple occasions. I will find when it is all quiet and they're laying down somewhere, sleeping....I'll walk across the apartment and both their heads bob up suddenly and they're staring at me. So I freeze and slowly back up, their heads turn with my movements, continue on my path and they follow with their heads and eyes.

Then I'm in the kitchen, getting something out of the fridge and turn around, both of them have suddenly appeared behind me with Prince stopping in mid walk with one paw raised, his gaze fixated on me. Nikita will be right beside him, sitting down with the same intrigued stare. Then I walk back towards the bedroom and the cats are slowly following me, their eyes and heads fixated on me until I turn around and they turn away. Moving around the corner into the hallway towards the bathroom door, I saw their heads poke into view. Forward to later in the night when I'm laying in bed, I looked up after feeling the mattress bounce a bit, and there's Prince and Nikita walking along the foot of the bed, staring right at me as if waiting for me to fall asleep....

And a second entry revolving around Prince.

One night about a year or so ago, I was in bed. Prince was meowing and moving around the apartment. He was also making a bit of noise, going into his hyperactive cat mode. Then, after several minutes, everything went silent. So silent that if there were crickets anywhere, I would've heard them chirping.

I called softly to Prince, but heard nothing. So I called out once more and started to open my eyes. Looking out, I couldn't see him or any instance of him-no shadows in the moonlight nor any sounds. So, I called out a third time getting ready to get up when suddenly out of nowhere this pale white looking cat with wide black eyes jumps onto the bed and lands within an inch of my face, his eyes looking into mine, and he meowed just then.

I was so startled that I nearly jumped out of the bed.

New Haha yes my cats continue to find new ways to be incredibly creepy despite being the loveable little scamps that they are. Usually it's all about how quickly they can round the corner or appear out of nowhere, lol

Prince and Nikita shall henceforth be nicknamed the Ghost and the Shadow XD

Tonight was a weirder one, i was talking to my mother in the kitchen, then all of a sudden in the garbage bin something shook the plastic bags and let out a big meow sound and then something dropped. Me and my mother stopped talking and looked at eachother as if to say what was that ? My mum then says " what the hell was that it sounded like a cat and i say yes it definatly sounded like a cat, i walked to the bin to check the bin and it was an egg shell that fell from the bin. We looked at eachother like wtf cause there are no cats anymore since leo and mc had passed away. It sounded like a cat scavenging in the bin, then meowing really loud like it was hurt. An egg droping from the bin doesnt make a loud meow sound and doesnt shake the plastic bag vigoursly .

I help out at a local museum. It's in the 1906 County Jail and there are regular investigations by Paranormal groups. Twice when I had Sassea there with me after hours she was spooked. The first time I am walking down a hall to the office with Sassea on her leash. All of a sudden she stopped and would not budge. I had to pick her up. The second time we went through the door from the office to the jail portion. I was just letting her wander on the leash and following her. When she got to the steps she got mad. Very mad and was going to go after something. I had to pick her up and hold her legs and feet from getting me and leave the building.

DH used to work third shift. One night, Daisy and I were up late on a weekend, watching TV. Suddenly, we heard a scream outside, like from a horror movie. It sounded so close. In my front yard? Daisy looked at me wide-eyed and horrified. The expression on her face was clear: Do something, Mama! (I got the distinct impression she wanted me to go outside with a flashlight and have a look around.)

"I'm going to get right on this, Daisy." I told her. "I'm going to bed." And I did, taking her with me.

Later, I begin thinking, that scream was so loud and perfect. I consulted a TCS member who kept exotic pets. He told me it was probably a mountain lion. An online search of mountain lion screams confirmed the truth. Even though they are supposed to be extinct in our area, I have had numerous hunters tell me they are alive and well around here.

I wasn't really afraid when I found out what it was, though I certainly was that night. It was really spooky. I've never heard it again and have been a little disappointed.

This is something I'll bet many of you have experienced. When I'm in bed, I feel a cat jump onto the bed or walk across it. Sometimes it lands on my feet. The feeling is distinct, like no other. However, no cat is there, not even in the room. It happens when I'm wide awake, like watching TV or reading. It's not a dream.

I sometimes think it's my long-gone soulmate, Feather, but it could be any of the other 9 cats who have shared our lives over the past 46 years. I only know it's a cat and although I can't see it, it's definitely there.

I have the exact same thing happen all the time! I've actually started thinking, "it must be Willie" every time I feel it.

ENTRY:
This was about four years ago, when I was still living with the rest of my family in a big, family house at the edge of some woods. All the other members of my family had gone out to some party or whatever and intended to spend the night at a nearby relative's house after. I didn't want to go because I'd decided it'd be more fun to video chat over skype with my girlfriend while the house was all mine and have my own little virtual sleepover with her.

So, we're getting comfy, I'm talking to her as I prepare a snack for our little movie-sleepover-skype date and then I notice my cat is very focused on one of the windows. I call her over and she doesn't respond, which isn't anything strange for her when she sees a lizard or insect, so I assumed there was a bug or something like that near the window. I decide to leave her be, let her get her hunting urges out. Later on, I'm watching the movie with my girlfriend and I hear knocking noises at the window. There'd been thefts in the area and I'm a rather petite girl myself, all alone for the next 18-ish hours. I. Freak. Out. I start whispering to my girlfriend that there is something at the window. But then I'm like "Wait, there's raccoons and skunks and all kinds of night life, maybe it's just one of those critters out there." so I haul my laptop with me, needing my girlfriend for emotional support, and go to check the window. I start pretty much a full search of the surroundings, going from window to window while my girlfriend is soothing me on the laptop, telling me that it wouldn't be the first time a raccoon had scared me.

When I've decided the surroundings are clear of any potential-robbers, I head back to the living room with my laptop still in my hands, still on video with my girlfriend, and I see my cat on the coffee table, looking at the ceiling. She starts meowing, and now that IS unusual for her, she normally can hardly get a meow out, it comes out as a squeak or a murrp or just her mouth silently opening and closing while her sides squeeze as if she's making a sound. I start trying to put the pieces together, and I come to a conclusion. "Oh, you know what, she probably was at that window, knocking it to get whatever bug there was, and it escaped and now she's upset." I say, and I begin to relax. I start laughing it off, my girlfriend starts laughing, too, we talk about how we're both so dumb for freaking out, and then my cat jumps onto the back rest of the couch. I start turning the laptop so my girlfriend can see my cat fussing, and that's when my girlfriend SCREAMS.

Like, not a joke scream or something like that, like an actual, frightened scream. She starts shouting that she saw a face in the doorway of one of the rooms as I turned the camera to show her my cat. I start shouting as well, telling her not to mess with me like that, and that it isn't funny. She swears up and down that she actually saw a face. We're both really scared and shaken, she tells me that I should stay in the center of the living room, as it was the only one with the lights turned on at that point. I call my family, freaking out, to ask if they could come back instead of staying with my relative. Luckily, one of my brothers was feeling ill and had wanted to return home anyway. My family returned after 45 minutes, my girlfriend stayed with me on the skype call the entire time, and once they were back, they told me I was crazy and things seemed... pretty normal after that. My cat settled down, she'd been pacing and looking around all over the place before they'd arrived, but once they were all home she seemed fine. A year later, I moved out, taking my cat with me, but I still think about that night from time to time to this day.
