I'm about to send in the CFA Registration Application for our Maine Coon, Luna

Her full registered name will be Coonalley Lady Luna Moonshadow

However, there's another box that asks for the name as you want it to appear on the certificate.

Am I supposed to put the same full name as above with the cattery name there or, can I drop that and just have it say Lady Luna Moonshadow?

Not sure of protocol. We do not have breeders rights if that makes any difference. She will be spayed in a few weeks.

Also, should I put both my husbands name and mine on it as Owner, or just mine (being as technically I paid for her LOL)

The box that says "Name as it is to appear on certificate" in section B is for the name of the owner(s), not the cat.

You can put as many owners as you want on the certificate. The only effect of having multiple owners is that if you ever transfer the cat to another owner, all owners must sign.

Heaven forbid but something to consider - a cat is considered property so if your husband and you split in the future if his name is on her registration that may be taken into consideration in the property split. A friend of mine is going through this now.

Well being we are both 60, and me on my 3rd marriage and him on his 2nd marriage - I don't think either of us have the wherewithall to ever start again LOL.

Not worried about that at all. Even if that happened at least I know he'd take excellent care of her or Cocoa if some judge ruled in his favor.
