@Norachan I am getting the injury addressed. Two appointments so far and another coming. The storm kept me from going to the third so rescheduled. Doing my best to keep hopping! Lol The kitties are helping with the chores.

rubysmama rubysmama I wish I was closer to Merlin. Socializing him looks like it could be accomplished without huge trouble. He really seems to want a human. I hope I can help. Really hoping. He’s a sweetie and wants to play.

Very glad your power stayed on. That was a very rough storm.
I am better than I started out and have doc visit coming up. Lots of tests scheduled so hoping it all checks out okay.

Wanda Heart tickled me when I walked in to find her in the catbird seat. She’s so full of life now. Running and playing with the big girls.

M maggiedemi Happy Birthday!!

Did somebody say birthday?

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 This one is for you!
Froggie is fine as frogs hair! :lol:View attachment 299220
I wish you were closer to Merlin, too -- I'm pretty sure you and the clowder of Chez Catbird, plus the charming Froggie Prince, could work wonders (or is that MAGIC?) in that department.
Hope you recuperate quickly and completely! I think we can all agree that physical pain and problems are no good for cat caregivers -- we need to be strong, limber, and able to give those cats the 24/7 care they need, 365 days a year, no vacations! I did something to my ribs a long time ago when I had this chair that unfolded into a bed. A girlfriend used to hang out at my house a lot and she always slept on that. It wasn't easy to unfold, and I must have pulled something in there somehow. It was hard to breathe when I took a deep breath, painful, for quite awhile, but it finally went away somehow. I never did anything for it. Yours sounds quite a lot worse, and I hope it's history soon!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I have had worse problems than this before so just being patient. The first couple of weeks were rough but things are better. It just takes time.

Well, estimated tax time again..... yuck! I am going to post early tonight so I can do that and some other necessary paperwork and household chores. I’d rather be scooping litter boxes than filling out forms. I’m sure the kitties will help though. Banjo is especially good at these things.

Paperwork? I’m kind of busy.

Banjo loves to shred, I'm thinking! But "my cat shredded the forms -- sorry!" won't work with those distinctly unhumorous folks at the IRS, I'm thinking. :sigh:
I used to have those, too, but not any more and though she's expensive, I turn all my stuff over to my CPA. She's well worth it. Peace of mind (and an advocate if necessary) is very important to me.:yess:
Sure hoping it hurries up and heals and gets better and goes away! :bliss:

N NY cat man So true! Never ending trip. Lol

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I do use someone at the end of the year and some forms are prepared. I just have to do the prep and final work. The only problem with Banjo doing it is that the signature always comes out wrong. :bluepaw:
Yes, I understand completely, Jcatbird Jcatbird . But at least if there is a problem, the IRS can

As long as lives are safe, it’s all okay. I’m very slow in putting everything back though. Trying to take it easy in my side. No rush I suppose.
I actually debated leaving most everything up, but decided not to. An act of faith that the remaining seven weeks of hurricane season will be kind to us. Remember when hurricane season ended at the first of October? Those days are gone now.

BTW...if we have ANOTHER hurricane next year during the first two weeks of September, I AM LEAVING HERE IF I HAVE TO WALK AWAY FROM EVERYTHING I OWN with nothing but a suitcase and a ticked-off cat in a carrier. I AM TOO OLD FOR THIS POOPY!

*PRAYERS* that that will not be the case, Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 -- moving is a hassle for almost everyone, and certainly for ticked-off cats (in carriers, of course) of the rescued kind.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Head of house! :flail:Too funny. Speak to the paw. I get that a lot here. Lol

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I totally agree except I didn’t pack. I just pulled in safety devices for everyone, including travelers. We’ll keep a spot open. Shall I put up a sign ? “ Reserved for Hekitty and friends.”
I got most of the smaller cages back out today. The biggest one can stay a bit longer. Carriers too! I had to sweep and mop. Cat tails tried to sweep yesterday but I think the just left more dust bunnies than they picked up. :bunnydance:

Hmmmm. With all that has been going on with everyone lately, I think we need a little magic from the heart. So this is for everyone who comes here for a smile. You know who you are.:) Remember the days when you were very young or your cats were still kittens? Maybe you just watched a kitten at play.....sometimes meeting a new kitty is tough. A shared pleasure can make all the difference.

I’m going to need a little help here for this. :kitty:

Banjo? Could you get some friends to help me out tonight? Wanda Heart is feeling lonely with only big girls around and they don’t want to play.
1E7525A3-C69E-431F-9947-80CE2B7E8513.jpeg

Sure! You’ll have to go outside to find something.
FC80E613-2200-400A-8A5C-D2F96000A491.jpeg

Outside?
45F55154-6814-424F-B772-21469BE66D3B.jpeg

Ohhhhh! I get it. Well then, we’ll have to “chase all the clouds from the sky.”
1F05E236-B0C8-4893-988E-A47A09A106DE.jpeg

Much better. Now....
2CBF9D77-4DDA-49EE-84EB-A82F8128B20F.jpeg

We have to count all the cats in the house. (“ or bees in the hive”) I prefer counting the kitties. Lol
673FE590-1B35-4A02-97F1-EA21D4D830B5.jpeg

Then tell all the kitties to read this.
6F21816B-360F-410C-AA4D-CB9866842ADB.jpeg

Did someone just say I resemble Eeyore?
0BD5119C-F751-4245-8387-B874FB0620E9.jpeg

Maybie Froggie can help too.
FA545FF7-3D77-4E70-91B4-5CDE0AE2ED3B.jpeg

Okay. Think about imagination and love.
087A3615-C2BE-4828-80A9-B1042B08B7EB.jpeg

Then it might help if everyone will remember how it feels to try and make new friends.

Are you lonely Wanda Heart?
1AD5331F-DF5C-4BCE-B3E2-91CB25DC1877.jpeg

Maybe the right friend would help? You could look in the mirror and see who is behind you.
C04FC321-48DB-4D0F-B893-C8340FBF34EC.jpeg

Who is that?
C03458CB-0049-45E6-95B8-932486879055.jpeg

Remember him from out in the shed?
B34FDE9C-86B5-45C5-9BE8-289EBC22E242.jpeg

I think you might have met him before.
C7CA7E93-D554-4699-A30D-5D5601FBEED0.jpeg

The other kitties saw him when they were kittens.
D58CD00C-99D0-41CD-BBE9-7CDDD13F8126.jpeg

Maybe they’ll remember Pooh Bear.
D0B35447-20C5-4070-9C49-0D689CF6D498.jpeg

I think they do. Their scent may still be there.
BB3B3B53-A1E9-4E74-8188-65F0C6DD918E.jpeg

He’s been around a very long time.
25550284-0841-46EA-9822-2320B48B5256.jpeg

What do you think?
80296D65-C700-4C00-8A28-FE5C8532D2E4.jpeg

Kitty kisses.

That was a good idea Mom.

F85CF5A0-49CB-4B9F-A440-F7707B8FCF38.jpeg

Look! Look!
85D0E62B-8273-42E9-B7B5-2CE56BF9C5E0.jpeg

Hee, hee! They didn’t hiss at me. They’re having fun!
D30F9F1F-243F-47C5-AD24-233BA090AA01.jpeg

They’re still kissing a silly old bear.
BFDC2D6A-9E19-479F-8B0C-B6B139011EAD.jpeg

That old bear was tucked away from the days of my Sarah but it seems that every litter of kittens managed to pull it out again. The scent of childhood never really leaves any of us. A common toy and the scent of something familiar are methods often used to bond new kitties. In this case a very old friend is helping to bond new ones. Sarah would have smiled at this. I hope you do to and I suggest you go here before signing off tonight. Have a beautiful night everyone! Wanda Heart and her friends send you purrs.
