That's a powerful poem, Mamanyt1953 and you all stay SAFE, hear? This is my last post for a bit, as Dorian closes in, and conditions are beginning to deteriorate. I wrote this and posted it here a couple of years ago, it seems appropriate to re-post it now!
The Storm
There's a storm coming,
O my Sisters...
The wind moans and whines, running
restless, anxious fingers through the trees
And the trees shiver and sigh in response.
There's a storm coming,
O my Darlings...
Not a bird in the sky
Not a creature scampers or
Runs or crawls
All gone to earth in the Deep Wood.
There's a storm coming,
O my Brothers...
Look you to the South and West!
See them there?
Dark gray bodies writhing and roiling,
Riding high, the Storm Dragons come!
Lightning is the fire they breathe, and
Thunder is their roar!
There's a storm coming...
O!
Comes the storm...
