These are great! LOVE Top Cat. And I hope Sigmund finds/has found his loving permanent home and person/family! He's awfully cute in his ensemble.
I loved Top Cat too. I also hope sweet Sigmund found a forever home, I came across him when I googled for cats in hats & glasses.

LOL.

Not sure if this is funny, sad or tragic.

:yeah: :heartshape: :petcat:

That harness is pawsitively beautiful. As is Lady. :hearthrob:

:flail:

Gorgeous sunset. :sunshine:

:purr:
I so much enjoy your stories! Thanks for taking the time to share them. (And Lady is such a pretty little kitty!)
What a wonderful day it sounds like you had! And with Lady doing the selling, I would think you'd be bought out in no time. I do love being able to dikker -- haven't really been able to do that in a long time as I do all my buying except groceries and the dentist online (but it doesn't stop me from trying! LOL I tried it with our late, much lamented supplier of cat supplies when they were closing and I got refused. I've been trying it with Petco! What was that Einstein is purported to have said about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?:ruminating::anticipation:) Lady does look so cute in her dress, and she seems very comfortable in it.
I also have a lot of "stuff" including my folks' furniture. Thankfully I also have their double garage, and no car, so it all fits. It's very nice furniture but I wouldn't get much for it at sale, so I am keeping it on the chance that I might want to bring it in some day and sell my furniture instead.
That's great that you found a very good home for your daughter's chair. Things that belonged to family members are special for me, too.
That is a very interesting painting.
Hoping you can rest today!

OMG rubysmama. That kitten video! The kitten looked so adorable but maybe that was his Mom and she thought something was getting his head! She was trying to get the attacker off him. Or maybe just didn’t recognize him In a hat. Could be that she just didn’t approve of his tastes in hats? Poor little kitten! Human hands grabbed him quickly so I guess they were a little worried after doing that. That was funny and then tragic. A surprise ending. I want that tiny hat though. Actually, I’d like to have the kitten too. :p Lady is happy you approve of her harness. I think it suits her.

Avery, I’m glad you enjoy the kitty tails. Lol These kitties keep me supplied with lots of adventures. I’d feel greedy if I kept the laughter to myself. Lady thanks you for the compliment!

Tarasgrl.I learned to haggle I’m business. It’s a challenge and always fun to feel like a fair deal was had by all. Lady does it well. She seemed to understand when someone needed a good bargain too. We gave away an old handcart in return for the gentleman offering to spread the word about the sale. He was trying to help his recently divorced daughter move. He did spread the word! It was a good day. The next time you Dikker, let one of the kitties give them a sweet look. Lol
Lady does love her dress. She is so cute. As soon as I get it out she comes running to have it put on her. She’s a little lady and a clothes horse. My other kitties, not so much!
I understand about the family furniture too. I have some stuck back. I would like to use it but the cats might too! Lol It has velvet covering which would collect cat fur.
The painting? Heh. It is different. You should see the whole thing! I have collected a bit of art over the years. I also paint and have lots of variety around the house. Everything from old kitty paintings to a giant tree frog in the bathroom. I have some Reichenbachia prints that I really love. All orchids. They are signed by the artist. Most of my prints and paintings are nature related but I just love artwork in general.

Love the kitties in hats! BJ would fit right in. I also hope Sigmund found a home.
I want the hat with cat ears! I would wear that...... well, maybe not everywhere.
I loved Top cat too. So did my brother.

Some of the other kitties did watch out the windows but some didn’t like intruders driving up. For some of them that brought back scary memories. I guess they like their privacy and ,” no tresspassers!”
Lady is one who loves attention though. She wanted to show off her favorite dress.

That's the problem with my folks' furniture, too -- French with silks and velvets upholstering it. It's been recovered over the years. I'm not really a fan of the style, but it was from the best furniture store in town and my mom loved it. I'm a klutz and we prefer modern. I chose leather for the living room because it is very livable. My mom's furniture would look AWFUL if anyone threw up on it, clawed it, etc. I really don't know how it stayed so pristine because there have always been cats in the family and also, they used to have family over fairly frequently. I guess it was just luck!
I love art as well. Most of what's up in the house now also belonged to my folks. Some is antique. Some is needlepoint, done by my first (and still) best friend's mom. She loved her needlepoint and crocheting! And I have a couple of pieces up that were done by my aunt, who is very talented. It's quite an eclectic mix.

Ecletic here too. My mothers’ mother could do anything with any kind of needle. Lots of pretty stuff. I don’t knit but do a little crochet and do other types of needlework. I had done some watercolors of orchids and I reproduced them on fabric in seed beads. Lol That was fun. A challenge too! My mother could draw beautifully. She didn’t do it often but she should have. As a child I used to beg for her to draw for me. I have some of her pencil drawings that I cherish. I wish I had inherited her talent. It’s still fun to try though. :p

Heh! She is already a bit of a show off but I’ll tell her. She loves compliments and the dress. I have to laugh at how much she likes it. I’m not used to cats liking clothes. But then, I’m not used to them being obsessed with a pair of glasses or kitty pools. This is an unusual bunch of kitties. Do you think it’s in the kitty gene pool? You’ve given me an idea.

I tried to get some of the other girls to wear the dress tonight. This is how that went and this is what I imagine they would like to say.

My dress! Are we going out?

Nope! Muffin ran away.

You actually think you can make me wear this? It’s not my style! Really! Do you forget who you’re dealing with?:kitty:

Poor Flowers. I took it off before she flopped over on her side but it was close. I must admit, it really isn’t Banjos’ style at all. She’s so smart. She didn’t flop over or try to avoid having me put it on her. She knew she could easily remove it. She would probably like to destroy the photo I took of her wearing it. She may hide my phone under the sofa tonight. Not a flattering photo but the look on her face is priceless. It says it all. I guess it really is Lady’s dress.
This just goes to show, every kitty is different. Lady really is a Lady and the dress is her style. I hope everyone smiled. :heartshape::lovecat2:

I've thought of getting a sweater for Tarifa because she's got chronic URI and is 15, with a short coat. But "thinking" is as far as I've gotten, because I really don't think she'd want something on her. My ex bought a cat harness and leash so everyone could see the snow in the Mojave, and everyone did get a turn in it. No one liked it, so it's in a drawer now. And that's as far as it goes with "stuff on my cats" except for their collars and tags.
Oh, my mom did amazing drawings, too! They were fashion illustrations. Her sister, my aunt, was an amazing seamstress. I used to say that they could have started a fashion house and been rich and famous. :sigh:

Ummm. Funny how people don’t always find a way to promote their talents. That’s a shame but they found a way to enjoy it! That might count for a lot more. Do I remember correctly that they passed the talent on?;)

Lady likes the dress but it started just because she likes to go in the garden. I put it on her to go there. Now she knows it means she can go outside. If she wants to walk very far she has to have the leash but that’s the law here. She would stay close anyway. She’s scared of outside if I am not right beside her. The dress/harness might give a feeling of security too. It’s worth trying on Tarifa. If you know someone who has a baby, you could try a baby shirt first. You can knit it st the shirt tail in the back to make it feel secure. If she hates it then no point in going further.

I guess so. My maternal grandmother was very fashionable, too -- I remember she gave me this little box full of tiny bottles of French perfume when I was very small, and she always dressed beautifully. I love clothes, jewelry, fragrances, decorating, etc. too, but in a more casual way. And I was trained as an artist, but have given it up -- many reasons, mainly having to do with having to do everything myself and not having time or energy to keep up with it. Also, I painted in oils, stretched my own canvases, and so on, and it is an expensive pursuit.
Oh, no, my three are very happy being indoors. They have a lot of windows, doors, cat furniture, all-species furniture and window seats, and they don't ever make any effort to go out.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I think I saw a cat drawing you did. I know just living life eats up our time but you are super talented. If only......
Your drawing was amazing! I wish I could do that! I hope you find a way to return to art and include it in what you do. I could see how it could add to what you to your work with cats. Stunningly beautiful.

surya surya The fourth is just as precious as the other three. Names? I bet they pop up. I can think of tons of names but it doesn’t mean they will fit. We can ask for suggestions here if you like though. Everyone likes to offer names. ;) Maybe something would appeal to the babies.

Today was a day of running for me. Monday is always a challenge. Shopping for the week, bill paying, appointments and added to the usual is getting things moved out so I can get the house re treated for the wood eating bugs! Not everything but certain areas where they will be drilling through the foundation. Yikes! I was so tired this evening I fell asleep on the couch. It was a wonderful nap. Lol Bonjure decided to nap on top of me and Muffin beside me. I drifted off with BJ licking my hand. :kneading:
That might explain my dream. I dreamed a big cat was loose in my house. At first I didn’t know if it was a lion, tiger , panther or leopard. Then I saw that it had spots. A leopard. I kept trying to avoid him but he wasn’t trying to hurt me. I was waiting to eat but afraid to have the scent of food on me. He looked hungry and I was wondering if I fed him, would he decide that I smelled edible? Then someone asked me if he belonged to me and was another rescue! I told them no but wondered where he had come from. I woke up smiling. Funny how our day can add to our dreams. If the dream had continued it might have gone something like this......

I think you're right -- the leopard was with you all along! ;)
Hmm -- I can't think where you would have seen any art I did, because it was a long time ago and none of it is up on the internet as far as I know. You may have seen the cheetah portrait my aunt did, which is up in our living room.

If I ran across Lady at a yard sale, I'd buy the place out! What a wonderful helper you have!

I lucked out. Hekitty wants nothing to do with people food, although she does love "tuna soup" (the water drained from a can of tuna), and she will climb your leg (all 11 pounds of her) to get raspberry sherbet! No other flavors, no ice cream, but she does love her raspberry sherbet!

I’m still doing work on the house. It’s nice to have it but it sure takes a lot of upkeep. Having the trailer here too is double the work but it did come in handy when I had a lot of kitties to seperate. Lol It’s nice to have everyone spayed and neutered now. Boys and girls can all be together.:bunnydance:

Read to the end. A smile awaits. I think!

Having kitties is wonderful but sometimes they can worry us or give us a bit of a scare. This morning I was fixing breakfast for everyone and serving it when I noticed that Banjo wasn’t eating. She left me and her dish to start meowing like crazy! What’s wrong Banjo! I ran into the great room to see about her and found her doing this......

She was in an odd position and her tail was fluffed!

What’s wrong my girl?

She kept tilting her head back and meowyelling!

She kept looking up....

Then the other........

She stared! I looked where she was looking but saw nothing. The ceiling in here is vaulted and really high. I scanned the whole thing. Nothing.

She gave me a very serious/ disgusted look.

Whistle wasn’t up yet. He was dreaming of collecting shiny round things to play with.

Banjo found that unacceptable. She tried to wake him but Whistle kept snoring.

Finally I figured out what Banjo was saying when she attempted to communicate with me again.

I followed her gaze once more as she gave me instructions.

Thank goodness! I was relieved that it was just a spider she was yelling about! All that for an itsy bitsy spider. Banjo! :flail:
I did not get her the ladder ( Banjo loves the ladder. Any excuse to climb it. Lol) so.....she fussed until the little spider retreated. She ate her breakfast a little late today but it didn’t include arachnid.o_O

Now I know what MEOOOOOOWYELL means. :p

Whistle slept through it all. Smart boy.
Have a great night/ morning everyone!
