Hi!
Although this is referencing something else, this article may have some suggestions that might help, along with picking up the marbles and other things she shouldn't have access to;

Marbles? She could choke on those. Keep them away from her!

Try crumpled balls of paper. One of mine used to pick those up in his mouth and run with them after batting them around. We used to play fetch. Sort of, but without the actual fetching, cause cats do their own thing.

Personally, I don't know that calling it "pica" is helpful. Cats like to chew stuff. Many will swallow stuff. The exact things vary from cat to cat, but just generally, it is something many do; part of the cat package. The only solution I know of is cat proofing.

It is dangerous for sure. I went to stretch in the sewing room, thought I was watching. Looked away for maybe ten seconds. Had to chase the cat, because he was swallowing a thread. I pulled 10 inches of thread out of his mouth (and belly?) and thank god the needle was still attached.

Maybe you have something different going on, but if this is just the cats being cat thing, there isn't any magic solution I know of. Sorry!

Most cats will play/chew straws. Since you think she may have pica the first thing you need to do is go through everything she can reach - on the flor shelves, everywhere, and put anything she might swallow in a box secured with packing tape until this problem is solved. If your cat can get something in her mouth, you don't really need it. If you have make up, put them where she can't get them. same for soap, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and the like.

TAKE BOTH YOUR CATS TO A VET AND DISCUSS ALL THESE DIFFERENT PROBLEMS WITH HIM/HER. PARTICULARLY YOUR FEAR OF PICA AND THE ITCHING. They can die from the diseases the vaccines will protect them from diseases that are expensive and can kill them.

Non-food items are always a concern if ingested. String-like objects can cause obstruction in the digestive tract. If the scratching post is badly shredded, put it out with the trash and buy a new scratching post.

What did the vet say when you took the cats in? Does he know why this is one is eating odd things? Does he know why the other one is
scratching?
