Yay! Twice is nice. Let's try for three nights in a row. :)

It seems like everybody is getting kitty lap time. Maybe my cats will be next. :crossfingers:

My positive for today is Demi made friends with a toad. I think that's alright? He didn't seem to be hurting it, just talking to it. My sweet little boy is so desperate for friends. :redheartpump:
I don't see why not, M maggiedemi ! That's very sweet.

I was able to successfully feed the 2 kittens today! I tried last night but they are very fussy and couldn't get comfortable enough with me. I probably wasn't holding them right. But I felt better about feeding them after I watched my stepmom do it yesterday and it worked! Even the little one who has been eating only 15ml every feeding ate over 20 ml with me!

I saw two sets of baby goslings today

Both families were enjoying the weather together:sunshine:
Cute little honkers! I was treated to a birthday on a lake some years back and the dock area was guarded by geese of many different species. Some of them were very serious about their jobs. All were wonderful to see!

They are so cute. The black one could be a baby version of Maggie. :redheartpump:

There is nothing on earth or anywhere else that is cuter than a kitten.
I completely agree with that statement. :lovecat:

Meeting friends for dinner tonight and looking forward to a delicious Italian meal.
Did you have pasta? What kind? :yummy:

Tikka Mark
What is a Tikka Mark? :)

I love those darling babies. I had forgotten they were called goslings.

I love toads. I had one living in my front garden about 10 years ago. I named him Sean and he let me pick him up and pet him. I would put water out for him.
He was there all summer.

So, four nights in a row the Vincie girl slept with me and yesterday napped with me while it rained. Last night Callie was on the bed and Vincie came up but didn't shoo her off. After a few minutes Callie jumped down. She seems upset by this turn of events. I've had her on my lap a few times since V has been sleeping with with me but a 20lb cat causes pain; she stays about 10 minutes. Vincie will sleep in a certain spot for a few weeks then find a new one so I don't think this is a permanent thing, but I will enjoy it while it lasts.

I went for a walk today and saw a hawk and turkeys

It's a Cooper's Hawk.

While I was admiring the turkey, this big guy lumbered out from behind a bush:

It's definitely a male and likely a bit protective of his female.

I gave him plenty of space to go about his business.

It was a nice day to go out walking :sunshine: Not too warm, plenty of sun. There were quite a bit of people walking around with huge telescoping cameras and people with binoculars for bird watching. I found some places to just sit.

M maggiedemi : "
What does a tikka symbolize?
It is designed in such a way that it rests on the sixth chakra of the forehead, as told in Hindu mythology and represents the third eye, or the power of the soul. The forehead's center, where the maang tikka is placed, also signifies one's ability to control emotions, and the power of concentration.Oct 9, 2013"

LTS3 LTS3 GORGEOUS birds! I love the raptors in particular and we are visited by redtails from time to time.

Wishing everyone commemorating Memorial Day a good one.

It's one of their specialty dishes called Angel Hair Delizia - sautéed asparagus, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts with garlic oil white wine sauce.

They were predicting a severe risk of storms this afternoon with hail and possible tornado. Although it rained a lot I think we escaped the weather alert advisory.:crossfingers:

4 nights, and one afternoon nap, that's wonderful progress! :clap2:

Love the hawk & turkey pics. That park is beautiful too. :tree:

Ah man, that's all my favorite things in one pasta. :yummy:

My positive for today is a relative gave me some travel tips that turned out to be surprisingly useful. I'll file the info away in case I need it someday. :purplebutterfly:

Adorable families!!

Just this long weekend. Going back home tomorrow so I won't see them. I might go back in July and they'll probably still be there.

It's so hard to take good photos of squirmy kittens!

If anyone wants to call dibs on Kiwi, they're located in the long beach, CA area! ;) Planning on $100 adoption fee in the form of Petco giftcard. My stepmom is going to have them fixed with their first round of shots.
