Petcurean Go! Vs Farmina

Hi!
I need some advice deciding which food is the best between these too...
Petcurean Go! Chicken, turkey and duck (here is the catfooddb page : Petcurean GO! Carnivore Grain Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck Cat Food Review )

And the Farmina Chicken and Pomegranate ( Farmina Chicken & Pomegranate Adult Cat Food Review )

If I look at the calory breakdown of both of them, they look quite similar, has any of you tried these foods? Or brands in general? I just bough the Petcurean one, I just started wondering if I made the right choice because the kibbles are tiny and she has trouble chewing it (she always chew her food).

And I KNOW these are dry foods, I tried giving wet food to my cat in the past, always failed but I will try again with all the tricks I got online, but for now, I really want my cat off the Royal Canin gastro dry food, I had to give her that because Acana gave her diarrhea. Now that she is fine, I'll change her dry food and then begin introducing wet food (I promise!)

And also, I forgot to mention that I looked at these formulas that don't contain a lot of legumes because my cat doesn't tolerate them very much. Some formulas like in Acana or Orijen contain too much, it gives her diarrhea (I'm pretty sure the legumes are the cause because I tried Nutrience in the past, that contained 40% protein and not too much legumes and she was fine, she just didn't like it anymore). I was interested in Dr Elsey's but I can't get it in Canada..

You have to feed your cat what she will eat that you can afford. Many cats eat dry food despite what their human caregivers would prefer. Please don't feel like you have to apologize or come up with reasons why your cat eats dry food. We understand.

Anyway, my cats used to eat the Petcurean GO! Fit & Free. It's a good food and IMO is right behind Dr. Elsey's when it comes to quality. They just stopped eating the Fit & Free. This is what they do though. They are super picky. Right now, they are loving the Dr. Elsey's but I do understand that you can't get it in Canada. I chatted with a Chewy rep on twitter about a week ago and they are working on shipping to Canada. People need to get on them about it because the more noise that is made about it, the faster they will do it. They need to know that people really want it- and you DO want them. Their reputation is well deserved.

If I had to choose between the two foods you have listed, I'd go with the Petcurean GO! Fit & free.

I'm glad to hear that she's doing better. Hopefully you find a wet food she likes so she can have some variety in her diet.

I chatted with a Chewy rep on twitter about a week ago and they are working on shipping to Canada. People need to get on them about it because the more noise that is made about it, the faster they will do it. They need to know that people really want it- and you DO want them. Their reputation is well deserved.

If I had to choose between the two foods you have listed, I'd go with the Petcurean GO! Fit & free.

The Chewy reps always get right back to you on social media and when you chat with them on the website, they are always so great. Very friendly and helpful. Their customer service is second to none. They really want their customers to be happy because they know they will continue to buy and tell others to do so also. I recommend Chewy to anyone with pets. I hope they do start shipping to Canada soon.

I fed my girl Go! Chicken turkey and duck before eventually transitioned her to raw. She loved it. I remembered looking at the ingrients and the top three were animal protein. I also calculated the percentage of protein of all her food and the percentage for go! was pretty high for a dry food. I actually noticed some changes similar to raw feeding after I switched her from royal canin dry to go!, including smaller and less smelly poop and increased energy. If your cat only eats dry, go! is a good choice.

For me, it's a toss up. I do like that the Petcurean has more animal ingredients listed, but I also don't like that they have multiple carb sources (potatoes and pea); the Farmina has just potatoes but it is higher on the list. Macro nutrients wise they seem to be quite similar so honestly whichever one works for you I say go for it

My pet food store started carrying the Farmina brand not too long ago. I feed wet food and have tried the pomegranate and most of the pumpkin varieties. Ailish inhales this food. She isn't a picky cat at this point, but she does have her faves and this is it. If I were recommending a food to someone who was having trouble getting their cat to eat, this would be it. It stinks to high heaven of fishy fish, even the nonfish formulations, so if you completely avoid fish it may not be your food. The stink may be why she likes it. I give it to her less than once a week, because I don't want her to get to the point where she won't eat boring old Weruva. It comes in very small cans, but it's pretty calorie dense, so i get two feedings out of a can. It seems like good food based on the ingredients.
