I understand the stress.
She is so uncomfortable and doesn't understand why.
I had a good friend, his wife was a vet tech, so i iaid him to sit my Rottweiler fir 5 days , for my Christmas vacation. So that if anything should arrise, Zeus was in good care.
Because we di have to live our lives.

Yes, he died while we were gone. My life has that kinda luck, and though we were devastated, it probably woulda happened if we were home anyway.
So we were comforted knowing he was loved and taken care of, and not alone.

I swear, i i at trying to scare you.

Just be prepared, so if something bad happens, you dont have to live with pain and guilt.

Pray for your options sweetie

I’m starting to get a little worried about Lucy. My vet think she is okay but I just need some reassurance.

She has been sleeping a lot the last three days, super restless yesterday but sleeping when she’s not pacing. She has also been meowing a lot and will walk up to me, lay on her side and spread her legs like she needs help. She went to the litter box last night and passed a pretty firm poop. She was crying while pushing it out. I checked her when she was finished and she had some brown mucus discharge out of her genitals. I thought she had to be in labor because of her cries and the mucus. She licked herself for a good two hours (nipples, genitals and sides) and then hid under a blanket for the remainder of the night. Today, she has been sleeping ALL day! Literally she gets up for maybe a minute, walks over to her food bowl, sniffs it and then goes to lay back down. She does this once every 2 hours or so. Her tummy has been hard for almost 5 days now. Her temperature has been below 100 for at least 9 days now. In the 98’s for three days. I know temperature is not really that reliable but she lays down every morning for me to take it so I do it just to make sure she isn’t spiking a fever. Also, her tummy feels so hot and sweaty when I rub it. I’m just worried that something is going to happen to her and I am being oblivious to it. Does this all sound normal?

Did your vet actually look at her or did you just describe what was going on over the phone? If this vet doesn't want to see her then try another vet, if nothing else the mucous discharge with her poop is cause for concern.

when i called my vet, during my cat's labor...

he gave great advice....

if momma is in stress, they'll have a fever, or wont eat or drink....

would you like to hear the sounds my cat gave in labor?

she only made these noises when she had to push....

she would do it 2 or 3 times within a 1 minute period, and the baby came out

I promise, it is very stressful for you, but I promise we all go through that fear, so don't think you're alone and don't think something's wrong. it was so bad for me I will never allow my cat to have babies again because the fear was too high for me but now that I've gone through it I'm glad so that I can help others to not feel so scared.

another thing, my vet told me, as long as she's not bleeding a stream of blood, it should be okay. my mama cat never had more than a drop of blood come out every hour.

and about 24 hours after the babies were born, she would only have maybe a DOT of blood two or three times a day for a week.

the babies are just over two weeks now, and I have not seen any more discharge or blood come from her in the last 2 or 3 days

How is she doing? Did she have her Kittens yet?
She did! Tuesday night. She had four! She had trouble pushing the first one out so I’m so glad I was there to help her. After that one she was a pro. All are gaining weight perfectly. I don’t know how I’m going to rehome them though. I love them already.

What an adorable little face! :)

She doesn't appear to be a chimera, though. Although people often think that "split face" tortoiseshells are chimeras, it's actually a perfectly normal variation of the tortoiseshell pattern. You can see that both sides of her face are tortoiseshell, not two different incompatible colors... this indicates that she is a normal tortoiseshell kitten.

Congratulations! So they arrived 4 days before your trip!!! Were your children present? I am so happy for all concerned. You can now go to Disney World with a light heart. Have a marvellous time and let us know all about it.

Good to hear she did well and that the Kittens are healthy. You've got a long 12 or so weeks ahead of you helping her take care of them as they grow, but it will be worth it and a good experience for your own kids.

I made a post, on my county's official 411 Facebook page, because my cat has six babies, and within an hour , I had 20 to 30 people wanting a baby and willing to pay to help cover the cost of the fixing, and shots, before I gave them away.

your county should have an official 411 page on Facebook that you can join and post anything you want.
that way you have people wanting a baby that live near you
