Live in Ohio. A friend told me that he saw someone on craglist buying and selling kittens for money. Is there anything we can do besides post things on craglist to watch out for their number?

Thanks!

That's how some people get their kittens. My son got his two current ones on Craig's List. He always wants a barn kitty, and that's where he found them.

I don't see anything wrong with it if the sellers are only asking a nominal fee.

What do you mean by buying and selling? Is this person flipping them for more money?

I'd say, as long as the kittens seem healthy and taken care of, I don't know if there's anything that can be done. If they were in immediate danger, that would be different.

Hopefully their cat got pregnant accidentally and they aren't breeding cats at random and selling them online for profit.

Yes sorry, we believe he is flipping them since his number keeps popping up.

saleri saleri - That's awful. I wish I could help but I'm nowhere near Ohio and do not have the resources to rescue them.

I'm not sure what animal services is like in that area but if I were a working officer, I'd see that as negligence in some form. Morally, that is wrong.

Report the ad and post a warning to others. We get kitten flippers here too, people who find free kittens then claim them to be Russian blues, ragdolls, Siamese, "rare" blue eyed black kittens (really just young), and whatever else justifies upping the price.

It was posted today. He has been caught. He would stomp and strangle them
That's awful, no way to tell, but I hope he's just selling for profit.

Omg. He should be arrested for animal cruelty. That's how serial killers start.

Please provide a link if you can.
I mean that's a Felony isn't it!? So he should be arrested according to law.

Is it the same guy? Cat killer is in Missouri and OP is in Ohio.

Anyway, if someone is flipping kittens but they're well cared for, I don't think anything can be done. If you have reason to fear for their safety, though, definitely contact the authorities.
