I have a koi pond in my back yard that invites all sort of wildlife including these frogs. I collected some and wanted to transplant them to a nearby park but it has massive catfish that would snack on these in a heartbeat.

I have a manhole that leads to a beach 20 plus miles miles from me. Is that a bad idea? Sorry for the dumb question but idk what else to do. Cant leave them in the pond my jerk neighbors been complaining about the incessant croaking at night.

The park is fine. Don't just drop them in the middle of the pond, of course, but if you let them go somewhere sheltered they'll find their own way around and mostly avoid predators.

Not the manhole. If they live they'll just keep croaking and annoying the neighbors :D.

I was hoping the manhole branches off somewhere away. I think I’ll drop them off at the park tmrw. Didn’t see any rocks/crevices but will try to walk to the other side to see if there are any safer place.

Are they native frogs? Contact the Fish and Wildlife Service and ask what they suggest. Lots of native frogs are protected in the US.

Endangered Species
:yeah:

That was my first thought. Not that they are endangered, but that they are an invasive species and you can do more damage by releasing them. Places like Florida is having major trouble with invasive species and it's killing the native ecosystem.

I’m pretty sure they’re native frogs. I really hate releasing them because they probably get eaten. Really wanna keep them in my pond but my neighbor put in a complaint.

Tbh these frogs are pretty loud at night. And I mean LOUD! Their croakings can be heard 3 houses over. This might be the only complaint I find reasonable, the other complaints are just plain stupid and I just wanna punch their eye sockets in :)
