Now, I'm not sure how to tell if this is a foe pregnancy or a real one but I need help either way. One of the cats under my care has accidentally gotten pregnant. Not gonna go about how, as thats not important to the point.
I need help as I'm not experienced with this kinda thing. I need to know what I'm supposed to do so anyone with any breeding experience to offer me some advice would be helpful. Shes at least 4 - 5 weeks pregnant if it is a real one.
I'm NOT aborting it, so please don't offer that as advice, it will not even be considered and you will be wasting your time. If I even see this suggestion, as I have clearly stated I won't do it already, your comment will be flagged.
Now I have a few questions because she did seem like she got bigger but then looked a bit smaller the other day so unno if thats normal for their weight to go up and down in the first four to five weeks. Shes not HUGE yet, nor do I know how many weeks in to expect that so... I'll post up my questions...
----------------------------------------------------
- How many weeks total would she be pregnant for if this is real?
- How many weeks in before she starts to REALLY show?
- Is there a specific way that you need to pick up a pregnant cat?
- I picked her up by her chest and underbelly around the first three weeks. Would that hurt the kittens? I didn't do it to lift her normally, I was trying to keep her in the safe from and she tried to slip out.
- Is there anything I need to look out for in regard to if she were to lose the kittens?
- Is there anything to look out for in the matter of complications in general?
- Do I need to provide her with anything?
- Is there a certain amount I need to feed her?
- Do I need to do anything for her when shes giving birth?
- Once they're born, do I need to do anything to help?
- Is a cat shredding paper suddenly normal when they become pregnant? She started doing that but wasn't doing it before.
- How much should I charge thats a reasonable price for the kittens without it being too much or too little? I know a woman who charged $75 for her puppies but unno how much kittens should be.
- How warm should the room be kept for her? I bought a portable heater to help keep her warm and for the sake of the kittens.
- Will I need a heating pad as well as the mini heater for the kittens?
- Do I need to feed her a special diet once shes nursing?
I can probably think of more questions but these are the ones I have right now... if you have any other words of advice outside these, I would be happy to hear them. I'm really, really scared and have no one here I can rely on to help me with this, so I'm alone in all this.
