I just remembered that it's March, the month the new varieties were scheduled to debut, and indeed they have! They are: duck, rabbit and whitefish. The whitefish surprised me — my guess was venison. It should have crossed my mind that NN might want to add a fish flavor to their lineup.

Darn! My picky eaters don't like any of the new flavors. I was hoping for perhaps lamb or beef, oddly enough. My guys are weirdos. They do NOT like rabbit, nor fish. And they HATE duck (and turkey) . Finding food that they will eat is getting harder and harder.

It's a cheap protein, NN probably figured they could get an additional protein in on a budget, catering to feline fish addicts, sad.

It is sad! It's that catering to the fish addicts that I find so strange -- I suppose it makes sense in some way but I am just not seeing this one!

Recently I wanted to add something small to a Chewy order to bring the total up to the free-shipping minimum, so I got a pouch of Simply Nourish freeze-dried whitefish treats. Since Sylvie has few teeth and these are very hard and crunchy, I rehydrated a couple of pieces for her. She wouldn't touch them, and these are 100% whitefish. So I don't see any whitefish-based food in her future!
