My cat went back to eating Blue Buffalo. He ate three big cans. Well, small amounts each serving. I was so excited. I went and bought a few more cans. Well, he changed his mind. Ugh! The vet did say that this is part of the infection. I guess the plus side is he is eating some. But, very small amounts. I bought these fancy feast chicken treats. He seems to like those. Obviously he can't have just those. But, the vet said, right now something is better than nothing. He goes back for his follow up in a couple weeks.
I am concerned that this infection may have affected him mentally. Every once in a while his back legs move funny when he walks and he will kind of move in slow motion. I really hope these antibiotics are working! I really appreciate everyone's advise. I don't think it's time yet to think about putting him to sleep. But, I guess that is a question we are going to have to ask the vet. We have to think how much all these treatments are going to cost and about his quality of life. I guess I have heard that once they stop using their litter box it is time. But, he is still using his box well and acts as smart as he ever did!
