I made my stray kitty a new insulated house. I used a plastic tub cut a hole in the side . On the inside I put a Styrofoam cooler and filled with shredded paper and hay. I also made a raised floor so he doesn't get flooded out when it rains.
He stays at our house all the time now.

Most strays are happy to become indoor cats. There may be a little hesitancy at first - new stuff is always viewed with suspicion. But once they trust you, logic kicks in. They've seen the dangers out there and usually don't want any more of it.

That's so sweet!! I am glad he has you to take care of him!! Do you plan on trying to make him an indoor cat?
I wish we could. We have two cats already and they don't get along with each other sometimes. We also have three dogs and Snickers seems to be afraid of dogs.
I'll do the best I can for him.

Yes he's very sweet and he trusts us now. He stays here all the time now. I wish we could bring him in the house but it's not possible due to our two cats and three dogs.
I will do the best I can for him though.

Well, that's a full house. You've given him so much more than he had. Food is better than no food. Food and being fixed is better than just food. Food, being fixed, somebody to vet you, and a nice little warm house, is better than just food and being fixed. Everything else is luxury. He's lucky to have you and you to have him.

If you do decide to bring him in there are instructions in the articles on this site for introducing cats.

In fact you could try re-introducing your inside cats to see if that helps them and the dogs to get along.

Thank you so much. Yeah I think he's pretty comfortable. Even though he's outside he seems happy. I visit him every day . He loves to be brushed.
Actually our dogs and cats get along in general. It's our two cats that fight with other sometimes.
They're crazy.
We will be taking stray kitty (him or her not sure which) to the Vet soon for Vax.

It's possible your cats aren't fighting. If they don't draw blood and are merely wrestling and growling and hissing at each they are practicing for survival of things go south. It's like little kids playing. It's okay, they need to do it. It doesn't mean they don't like each other. They like each other well enough to trust the other not to seriously hurt them.

A really cat fight is slow with scream then throwing themselves at each other. Even then it usually ends in a couple of dings nothing more. A "I'm going to kill you fight' feels different, it radiates anger. It's over in seconds and there is blood and a vet bill.

Happy to help bring playmates together. An awful lot of people think cats are fighting when they are playing. Cat play is similar to martial arts. It looks much worse than it is, because the players know how to pull their punches. This doesn't mean they don't miss occasionally. When they do the one who got hit will tell the other one to 'knock it off." They step back then start again. It's good exercise and keeps them fit. And keeps them from attacking your feet. They gotta PLAY.
