Wow! What a strikingly beautiful cat!
Thanks! It's hard to believe that 3 months ago she was a severely underweight, flea and tick infested stray. Sometimes I think Piper is too cutesy for her sophisticated personality... she's pretty sure she's royalty and should have been named Catherine or Victoria or Margaret. :dunno::lol:

It's amazing what a difference that some loving care can make! And are you sure she isn't royalty? :redheartpump: :agree:

Leonid is gorgeous, Boris Diamond Boris Diamond . How big is he?
Thank-you! Leonid is almost 15 pounds. Since the larger breeds don't fully mature until they are 5, he will probably add another pound or three. Still wants to be a lap cat! How can I say no to his resplendent fluffiness?

My kitten Fluffy doesn’t have a mane but definitely got a thicker fur now.
It takes a while for their manes to grow in properly. My long haired cats didn't get their manes until they were about 2 years old, they grow back thicker every year. I guess Fluffy is going to have a splendid mane when he's older.

What kind of cats are these? Domestic longhairs or Maine Coons? They are so beautiful!!!
Btw are their manes seasonal?

Fluffy is a beautiful cat!

Leonid is a Siberian. His mane started growing when the weather started getting colder this year. I assume that it will shrink when the weather gets warmer, but since this is the first time he has had a mane like this, I'm not sure how much it will shrink. He may have a nice mane come summer, too.

Here is a picture of some farmer owned Siberians in Russia. They live outdoors and some of their manes are fantastic!

Here is a link to that farmer's page. Someone posted this on TCS years ago. I would like to give that person a shout out, but I can't remember who it was. :(

When I first got her, she was all black with little white tufts by her cheeks. Look what those "tufts" grew into.

Here's her "before" pic. This was taken the day they came home from the shelter. Her little belly was still bald from the spay surgery. You can see the little "tufts" here.

Norachan Norachan Carpet and Lilith have such similar fur!! They could almost be related. I really would like to see how Sophie and Forest would look together even if only through photoshop. They are the kitty version of yin and yang. Here's my Sophie. Look at Forest. He's so handsome. Wouldn't they make the most gorgeous spayed/neutered couple EVER? Forest is almost as handsome as my kitty boyfriend Little Boy. XOXO I just love him. Hugs to you sweetheart! Mane or no mane, you are love wrapped in a fur coat!:heartshape:
