I'm on the road today for a show tonight, but I spent most of my Christmas morning welcoming in so many big and little cuties into my guest/cat rescue house. My friends are seeing about making a website for the rescue and posting pictures of the kittens who will be ready to be adopted when they reach 12 weeks old. What is a reasonable adoption fee? Have any suggestions?

I'll end this with a few photos of my new furriends and I hope everyone had a happy holiday! :)

Omg yay! I am so happy to hear that, good for him and you too! Hope you and yours had a merry Christmas...or whatever :)
I hope you did too! I enjoyed mine. I just ate way too much. As I always do on the holidays. Some lessons I just never learn...

So I can tell you how the rescue I worked with works, and what they charged, and maybe that will help you determine what to charge. They charge $100 adoption fee, which includes spay or neuter, deworming, flea meds, first shots, tests for FIV/FLV. They work with a few places in town, idk what your relationship with the vets are like. They also had the flea meds, deworming meds, and some antibiotics in bulk, also some of the shots, so I think they bought in bulk and they would do that themselves, the vet did the spay/neuter, testing for disease, and rabies vaccine. Hope that helps.

This was excellent advice, so thank you. I have two vets in town who I have a great relationship with, but I think the one who convinced me to take in all the rescue cats and kittens would be more willing to cut me a break so to speak.

I forgot, it also includes microchipping!

Here's some pictures I've been sent while I'm on the road.

Now that I overloaded everyone with pictures (I'm a proud cat dad, I just can't help it!), I'll stop here because unfortunately, I have to adult for the day.

So does Ash stay with the other litter full time now? How are they doing? Omg everyone looks so bright eyed and bushy tailed! Lol

He stays with them the majority of the time, the rest of the time he's a wanderer who likes adventures. Everyone is doing wonderful. A few will be ready for adoption in another week or to. My friend thinks we should call the rescue Minx and Ink. That made me chuckle.
