I might try to sneak out of work this afternoon and go talk to the people at No Nonsense neutering and tell them the situation, maybe they have an idea how they can get her in there to get help? Maybe something I am not seeing, but at least it is worth a shot. But I know it will be very hard to get someone to go in there knowing the place is loaded with fleas, that is what is keeping me out and also the woman I talked to yesterday said she wouldn't do it for that reason, so Virginia and her son are really going to have to make a concentrated effort to make an appointment and catch her on that day and take her even if they have to take a taxi cab, ugh.....

I went to No Nonsense neutering and they said they would probably have to loan us a trap to get her, and the woman I emailed about her replied back and said the same thing so I will tell Virginia about it and HOPEFULLY they can get her and get her help SOON!!!

Deb left me a message at work, they found a large mass on her father's intestine near his pancreas, that is where the bleeding is coming from, and they are afraid it is going to spread, so now we are dealing with that news.....

Sigh.....:(

It's just getting worse, they said he is loaded with cancer, a brain tumor, this mass on his intestine that could burst anytime or he could make it a few days or weeks, but it is too far gone to treat anything. They are going to do some radiation on this intestinal mass in hopes of stopping the bleeding and maybe he could go home, and all he is worried about is finding a smaller place for my mother in law as she can't stay where they are. I know the end comes for us all but this really just all started to show itself about 3 months ago and has rapidly gone downhill since then, very very sad. :( :bawling2: :sigh:

Just an update on both Charlotte Sylvester's sister cat and Deb's dad. Someone from the Cat Shack, a local cat rescue place called me back about the situation that Charlotte is in with fleas and all and after hooking them and Virginia up they are going to go to her house tomorrow to try to help get her and get her help so that is good, like I have said Virginia has a heart of gold but doesn't have the means to properly care for these cats so I said if needed I would help her get Charlotte spayed and cleaned up, without her I wouldn't have my Angel boy Sylvester and this is his little sister so I want to help, and Deb & I have talked about taking her many times and Virginia said that she would give her to us, but with her dad going through this well you know the timing is not good, but her dad is still holding his own somewhat, he has been home for almost 2 weeks now, got his 10 radiation treatments, they won't do anymore as it is dangerous, is getting Prednisone for the brain tumors and is STILL in wonderful spirits, his faith is so strong and we have talked several times and have said just about whatever we wanted to to each other but he is still hanging in there, is supposed to be getting hospice soon but so far doesn't seem to be at that point so who knows. He did have an appointment with the oncologist the other day and they said based on what they see they made an appointment for him for January 25th, so they either think he is doing pretty good or they don't know what they are doing, remember one of them from that practice the hematologist told him weeks ago "I don't think anything is seriously wrong" but yes it is, Pancreatic cancer, lung cancer and a brain tumor IS something seriously wrong so we will see where this goes, we have come to accept it is happening, don't want to get our hopes up but we will see what the good Lord has planned.

But hopefully little Charlotte will get helped soon too, and I wouldn't rule out us taking her down the line, Deb & I have "more heart than brains" but we know right now is a very trying stressful time so we are hoping that she at least gets medical help soon.

Thank you!

Les

I'm so sorry to hear all of this is going on, Les. May the Lord bless you, your wife and her father, and little Charlotte during this time. Hang in there, sir.
:vibes::alright: Sending love, healing energy and good vibes to all of you.

Two women from the Cat Shack went to Virginia's house and were able to get the two male cats and take them to the vet and have them treated for fleas and vaccines but OF COURSE the one that needed to be caught, Charlotte, Sylvester's sister who is the worst they couldn't get! But we have experienced that too, they will get her soon I'm sure so finally something is being done to help her and them!!!

Oh, thank goodness! Will the house be treated as well? I know it needs it.
I believe that it will. She couldn't catch her again this morning so now they have to wait until Monday to try again, but I'm sure they will eventually catch her, they HAVE to!!!

Oh thank God they FINALLY were able to trap little Charlotte in the bathroom and the women from the Cat Shack are going up to get her and take her to the vet and have her treated too!!! Virginia is so upset and crying and we certainly understand, it is very nerve wracking to see the cats so upset and have them away from home but I keep telling her to stay strong and I know it is very tough to do but it HAD to be done and when it is over things will be MUCH better!!! So unless someone screws it up she will be heading to a local vet where her brothers are, they will treat the house and the cats will return and hopefully all will be much better.

I also realized that they don't have much money so I told them I would help take care of the bill as long as it isn't astronomical....they need help, it is Sylvester's little sister, I know how bad shape he was in over there and I'm sure she is too or worse, and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have my precious little baby boy so I want to help them out. :rbheart: :)

Well $754 later mission accomplished  :dizzy: :eek3: The stay in the hospital really racked up the bill, it's a shame that they couldn't have caught all 3 together it would've been only a 2 or 3 day stay, but it is what it is and I paid it and didn't tell them how much, there's no way that they could afford that and would've never gotten the cats back so I helped them out silently, Deb & I have been helped many times over the years so I figured I can do this too. And Charlotte looks like a miniature Sylvester, so little and cute but the vet said she was nasty and Virginia did say that she isn't friendly like he is lol!

Oh boy!!!

I hope that as much as you have been a blessing, you will be blessed.
Thank you....the woman from the Cat Shack talked to the vet and I should be getting some money back, maybe $120 or so as some of it will be paid for by them. But it helped them out when they needed it most...

Deb's father passed this morning around 6:45, his suffering is over. We had prayed that he would just go to sleep and he did, it didn't linger on and get horrible like it could have but it was getting bad, but he is fine now just fine. It is always tough to lose them but he wasn't living anymore but he will live forever in Heaven now. :rbheart:
