I have a freezer full of EZ Complete food I've made and their commercial favorites, but they won't eat them. They want to eat only the batches made with fresh liver and heart. They refused their evening meal, their breakfast and now lunch, so I've given in and let them have the chicken thigh food I made. The cats are just six months old so I don't want them to go too long without food.

Any advice?

Hi Totsy, what do you want to see happen? Moving forward I don't see an issue if you want to feed them homemade raw. You could mix some homemade with the EZ complete and commercial food so that you don't wind up wasting the food in your freezer.

Ah, thank you! I hadn't even thought about mixing them. Yes, I'll try that so as not to waste the food.

You can also crumble up their favorite treats and sprinkle it on top of the food to get them to eat it.

Oh, my cat is the same. He refused commercial raw except for Purrform and NI venison. So I had to give a lot of it away after I ended up with lots of waste from uneaten food and gave up. Nothing worked, not adding treats, nor adding a topper, and mixing it with food he likes didn't work either, nothing. He would go as far as refusing food he likes if it so much as touched the commercial raw.

If mixing doesn't work, I'd just give it away if I were you. I gave mine to a lady who feeds strays and such. They were happy with it.

The little brats. I'm going to keep trying mixing and I'll try sprinkling treats and bribing them to eat more of it. I think I can return some to the store, but only for credit.

I guess I should be flattered that my cats really like mama's home cooking.

Cynthia, are you making your own food or have they given up raw altogether?

I realise this is a super late rely, but I am making my own raw food. He's eating that happily, since he seems to really like Felini.
