I'm short of time this morning; so today's question will involve a poll! This has been hotly debated elsewhere; so lets see where TCSers fall. I know it can bring out passionate responses in us all; but lets keep it out of IMO.



Does pineapple belong on pizza?

I've tried it and it's not horrible. With ham anyway---you need the saltiness to counteract the sweetness. It's not my first choice but I wouldn't die if that's all there was to eat, lol.

And I'm sure not going to tell other people what to eat.

I don't like pineapple on pizza. It makes the crust soggy, but it's not a horrible taste.
I prefer meat on pizza. Lots of meat. All kinds of meat.

Pepperoni and pineapple pizza is the best!

Although, I should specify that my Dad is lactose intolerant so I grew up in a home where the normal order was "veggie pizza no cheese add pepperoni, sausage, jalapenos and pineapple". My Dad's goal was to have so many toppings you couldn't see the crust through it. My parents ran youth sports programs and we'd have probably a dozen meetings a year with coaches. They always ordered pizzas; a few just cheese or pepperoni for the kids but a good mix of other toppings too. A few times coaches would take slicesform my Dad's pizza not realizing there wasn't cheese and most of them actually liked it. We got to a point where my Dad would have to leave his in my Mom's office until he got his.

Now, he loves going to Blaze (one of the things crust create your own pizza places) and has them put a little of everything on it. And by a little, I mean a mountain is formed and I am never quite sure how the dough is actually cooked when he eats it. I usually stick to three or four toppings because I like the bottom crispy. If it's a two topping pizza chain pizza though the go to is pepperoni and pineapple.

I saw a guy there last time getting a mountainous pizza. It looked like a fancy salad on a plate. I don't even know how to eat that. With a fork I guess. I get a lot of stuff but it's not mountainous. Roasted garlic and capers are the best.

Once it bakes, the mountain is a lot more manageable. He's never had a problem which is sometimes a amazing. My Mom does eat hers with a fork but she rarely eats the bread parts. So she's more so picking the toppings off then cutting the pizza into pieces.

YES!! Pineapple on everything!!! If I'm ordering pizza just for myself, I add pineapple every time, no matter what I order.
