Oh, it's ALMOST HERE! Fall is coming! My very favorite seaon, fall is. There's something about fall that almost everyone likes. What is your favorite thing about fall?


SO hard for me, because I love everything, but maybe, just maybe, it is the afternoon light here in the South. During the summer, the light is harsh, and glaring, and...erm..."lemon-y" if that makes sense. But in the fall, it goes a wonderful amber, like honey. I love that light.

I just like the cooler weather. I wouldn't say fall is my favorite season; I think that's spring, when the world begins to acquire some color once more, but I love both of the "transitional" seasons, because it's neither too hot nor too cold, most of the time.

Being from the Deep South, then living in CA, I love the idea and aesthetic of fall, but I've never had a real Autumn before. I'll be moving to a place that has all four seasons soon, so I'll get to have my first real fall, and in excited to break out all the cute autumn outfits I bought (and never got a chance to wear!)

I love the cooler weather. But I am so looking forward to the lower humidity! Dew point is in the 70's and humidity is in the 90's. It feels like you could cut the air with a knife, it is so thick.

Cooler, crisp weather and incredibly blue skies. Lots of fall festivals and activities with weather cool enough to attend. The end f hurricane season (eventually).

Halloween I guess. There's no such thing as fall here in south Florida. It's still summer. I was never a fan of fall when I lived up north. All those lovely colored leaves ended up on the ground. Guess who had to rake them up. Fall was also just another reminder that the nasty evil winter was on the way. No. Just no.

I like fall, but I don't like what comes after. And to me, fall is a harbinger of the dark days and cold that's coming. I will appreciate the cooler temperatures and, hopefully, the decrease in humidity as both have been horrible this summer. But it means the end of outdoor suppers and hanging around the pool.

And I know, I just know, it's gonna snow. And I will be walking around like .

I love fall, it's my favorite season and I wish it could last longer. Some years we are cheated and only get 4-6 weeks of the best time of the year. As others have said, it brings the end of dreaded hot and humid weather. There's something in the air during fall that I can't explain from the crispness in the air to the scent of crackling fireplaces to apple picking and pumpkins galore.

I'm a summer person, so for me fall means the end of things I love. I guess my favorite thing would be lower electricity bills since my a/c won't be on.

Playing with Bosco in the leaves and dressing the pets up for Halloween. Last year Bosco was a vampire and Luna was a bat.

Spending time outside! That encompasses almost everything great about fall. The temperatures are nice and you can enjoy a cozy fleece hoodie. Ooo and apple cider! Best if it's from a local orchard where you've just picked apples and pumpkins!

Crunchy leaves are more fun to walk on. The air smells crisper. The bugs start going away. And then there is baking with apples and pumpkins! Mums on the front steps and fall decor all around. I asked DH to get my fall totes out of the attic this weekend. Last year I strung fall lights and leaf garlands all around the kitchen/dining areas. It was so pretty and soothing! Once those come down it's time for Christmas decor!

I can't forget hayrides either. Fall festivals and craft fairs are coming too!

I am SO in touch! Checked a bit ago. 92 degrees and 89% humidity! Like walking outside and having someone throw a wet diaper over your head.
