20180814_082634.jpg Burdock is just one of our feral cats, and I was wondering what his ancestry might be. He is big- 17 pounds @ his last vet visit, with a head the size of a grapefruit but he isn'the fat- just big. I have never had a store-bought cat- all stray/abandoned or feral, so I am asking someone who might know- which is probably all of you.

20180814_082615.jpg And this is Digger, another feral. The vet said she is part Bengal, but I have no idea if that is so. Her mother- and Burdock's- was a yellow Tabby feral, since RIPark. Again, any ideas?.

They are adorable! I would describe Burdock as a brown classic tabby Domestic Shorthair, and Digger as a torbie (since it looks like she has some color variation mixed in with her tabby pattern, meaning that she's a tortoiseshell tabby), in the broken mackerel pattern, Domestic Shorthair.

I think Budrock is probably a mix between a Norwegian Forest and a Tabby.

They have the same mother? Ie are littermates?

If so chances are the father is too the same.
Cats can conceive by several toms to the same litter, but the most common is its the same father, even if the mated with several toms.

No, they had the same mother, but Burdock is 2 years older.

Yes, she does have some smallish orange areas on her, probably from her mother. BTW, several people tried to catch the mother, but no one ever could, an she was found dead on my next-door neighbors porch several years ago.
