Awesome! Those ingredients look great! I’ll let someone weigh in on kitten or adult food since I don’t know much about that.

As far as flavors, I haven’t heard much different about various meat proteins, but you can check them each on catfooddb.com to see the protein/fat/carbs and pick one that is high/Med/low respectively. And it’s up to your kitty to find the tastier flavor. Olive loves Rawz Beef but hates the Dr Elsey’s Beef. She loves Dr Elsey’s turkey but hates another brand. I’d just try them all if you can and see what sticks!
I ordered him a couple of different flavors of the Animonda food and also some Catz food. Fingers crossed he'll like at least one of them :D

If I fed canned exclusively I'd try Tiki cat, only because one of our neighbors we cat sit for occasionally has fed this before, and it was some chicken shred thing that looked like human food ready to slap on a bun. (I did not try this).

As a guy at one of our local pet food stores once said about Tiki Cat, "Add some mayonnaise, and you've got lunch!"

:flail::thumbsup:

I'm sick as heck but one of our friends fed Purina One to their dog years ago, the "old" Purina One. I must have been hungry or crazy or something but I remember thinking the dog food smelled like Goldfish crackers!!
For our IBD guy, the next food on our list if he decides FF pates are no longer a "thing" is Merrick's LID. IDK much about the company but the ingredients seem good.

Our cats really loved the Merrick LID duck and turkey until Merrick added peas -- they'd much rather have FF or just about anything else! But if the Merrick works for your cat, it works for your cat. Another grocery store food you might try is Sheba pate; the ingredients are pretty decent but our cats don't really like it.

And ick about the dog food smelling like goldfish crackers, oh my!

A friend of ours, same level of cat-centric with a special needs babe, has put her cat on Merrick LID due to IBD. We noticed that the duck did lead to softer stools. IDK about the formulations but I do know duck is a fattier meat than salmon or (most) chickens, and we found this telling!
Sheba, the "perfect portions", is our go to whenever this guy goes off food completely. He LOVES it, but I do have reservations of making this "never fails to make you eat" food his every day diet!!!
I wish he'd eat the Wellness pate. We got them in large, "dog food size" cans for a good price but he went off them about 6 months ago. He might take to them again. It just depends. I just want him to eat, even if the food isn't "perfect" on paper, and be happy.

FWIW, we've fed The Honest Kitchen. I've read a lot of accounts of cats NOT eating this at all, but both of our colonies attacked it. Our IBD boy attacked it as well...he loved it, but it didn't "love him" if you know what I mean. =( Which sucks. Premixes are a great way to ensure a balanced diet, and I was so hoping he'd do well, but nope.
Bummer.

Only buy kitten food for Marx until he is one year old.

Being neutered does not affect what food he should eat. All cats need hydration in their diets.

This is why I am not trying Tiki Cat on Daisy. She never tries to steal human food and does not like shreds. I am limited to pate and mushy options.

I must be lucky mine have eaten same food for 5 years now. Whole Earth Farms, Merrick, Soulistic. No changes needed.
No, what you are lucky for is being able to feed the same three grain-free foods. I can't get Daisy to like that many in cans.

I'd like my cat to try Koha's limited ingredient cans. Particularly their Kangaroo since he's never had that. Unfortunately, my state hates anything with kangaroo meat so I can't buy or ship it here.

This guy has a YouTube channel where he taste tests cat food. He generally thinks Weruva tastes pretty good.

As far as I’m concerned, this guy is a hero for all cats. :flail:

I think he's crazy, but at the same time, him eating Weruva, enjoying it, saying it tastes like normal human food, and not getting ill/dying makes me feel much better about feeding one of my cats Weruva.

And for that, I give him mucho kudos.
This was a few years ago but one of my local pet food store owners told me the Weruva rep eats the food... maybe this is a sales call gimmick but even so!

Weruva's pretty good food, I just wish they didn't use potato ingredients in so many of their foods!

I do like that I can see real chicken and turkey pieces in my cat's food.

Yeah, the potato thing is one of the reasons why I'm not feeding their new pate line.

I wish they didnt have the potato in so much food too. But even with it its still one of the higher protein/ low carb foods out there, and not all fat. I am trying the new slide foods, so far not sure, may be to pate like for my guys
