i have three kittens who are identical, they are all gray with no markings. Two are girls and one boy. I want to start calling them by name but I don’t know if I’m using the wrong name for them. I don’t want to put collars on them since I had a bad experience with a collar I tried on one of my older cats when she was a kitten. She almost choked.
I was hoping there might be a safe dye I could use on just the tips of their tails?
I was in a pet store the other day and saw a dog who’s tail was dyed pink.
Need any suggestions.

Thanks

How big are they? When I've had really tiny foster kittens that look a lot alike I've used different color elastic hair ties as collars.

No, sorry I wouldn’t chance that...I’d be afraid they would get it caught on something when I wasn’t around. But thanks for your input. I’m too much of a worry wart

The only thing I can think of is to shave each kitten in a different spot to differentiate between them. Maybe shave or clip a small spot on the back of one, the left side of another, the right side of the last one. Or different spots on the tail (tip, middle, base). Don't worry. Fur grows back and the kittens don't care if they're missing some fur :agree: You may need to do a touch up or two until the kittens are older and can wear a safety collar such as a Bestie Band.

Or put different colored claw caps on the kittens. I think Soft Paws has kitten-sized ones.

Welcome to TCS.

Step 1 is figuring out who the boy is. Did you personally look at this butt?
