I wanna hear all your stories about your cats giving you the sort of trouble that's so absurd that you wanna laugh even while you're shaking your head at them.

My kittens love treats. Adore them. Can't get enough. Taught them a few tricks so they could earn treats. Well, I usually keep the treats in my bookbag just so I have them in a convenient place. Last night, I had the bookbag in my room while I was watching a movie in the living room.

Came back later to find that Pickett and Scamander had found a way to unzip my bookbag, wiggle their way in, find both bags of treats and tear them apart to eat....almost all of them.

They're fine, apparently they've got strong stomachs, but I'll certainly be locking up the treats after this!

That's a crazy story!

Well...my soon to be 1-year-olds won't stop finding ways to get into my kitchen cabinets and drawers. I had to buy child locks for the ones they were opening, but then they just figured out how to open all the others!! haha (this has been going on for like a month!

OK this may be a little hard to describe, but here goes. My two Himmies were probably about 5 years old. One night after I am in bed I hear this unbelievable noise from the area of my bathroom and walk-in closet. It scared me so much because my two like to sleep in my closet so I always leave the door open. It really sounded like everything in there had fallen to the floor. I could just imagine them lying unconscious underneath the rubble. As I jump out of bed, I am met by both of them, one chasing the other at full speed. They are literally sliding across the floor they are going so fast. Nothing was out of order in my closet and I am standing there baffled. On the way out I look down on the tile floor in my bathroom and see a Bath and Body Works bag with one of the handles ripped off. There was one of those large jar candles in the bag. I finally figured out that one cat must have had his head over in the bag when the other cat came up behind him. Instead of backing out of the bag he just ran and was dragging the bag containing that heavy glass candle across the tile floor, which is where the horrific noise came from. Luckily the handle popped off and he escaped. Once I found out everybody was OK, I had a good laugh remembering how fast they were running when they passed me! I suppose they thought something or somebody had caught them.

Now I know not to leave those shopping bags where the cats can get them!

Atticus (known now a Baddicus) is always making mischief with his 2 hooligan siblings. I have banned them from sleeping in my room at night. The night before last, I asked my husband if the room was cat free before closing the door and he said it was.....but it wasn't. At about 2 am, baddicus began nipping the inside of arm that was extended out from the bed. I rolled over with my back to him. I had to start wearing long heavy sweat pants rather than sleep shorts bc baddicus usually nips my thighs...so he grabs the pants...pulls himself up and down my legs with full claws, uses my bum as a scratching post and then pushes up my shirt and nips my lower back. I turn to remove him from the room but he scampers under the bed. A few minutes later I hear a weird clawing. He's knocked over my canvas clothes hamper and he is on top and ANOTHER cat is inside. The third hooligan races over to pounce and they knock over my charging table. Baddicus realizes being on top of the sideways hamper puts him close to my reading floor lamp. He tries to jump up its post...slides back down because it is thin and slick and makes it rock back and forth. Isn't that fun he must think because now he knocks it back and forth harder and harder until it crashed down on my head in the bed.

He likes to do pull ups on my oven door handle and adjust my stove knobs when I am cooking. He randomly climbs all of us coming from no where and with no warning. My husband works from home and baddicus will climb his chair and perch on the head rest, randomly nibbling hair and swatting my husband's ears.

He especially likes to annoy the dog. Baddicus will try to hang under the dogs belly when he walks. He will sit in the dog's bowl on the poor dog's food so he can't eat. he likes to chew the dog's tail.

His sister Luna has figured out how to open the pipe access panel in a bathroom (and how to open the closed door). She is constantly getting in the wall. We bought new nails to try a different method to keep it closed.

The three older cats are never amused and we often find them just staring at the hooligans with truly baffled look on their faces.

What treats were they? My two kittens use to love treats, but really don't care for them these days.

Hi lucisabsentia lucisabsentia , Pickett and Scamander! Well, our beloved snowshoe angel Sishya used to nibble a corner out of the large bags of dry food we kept in a storage room and help herself. We got smart and got some of the vacuum-seal storage bins for dry food to foil her efforts.

I have to keep my two kit's dry food up on a shelf out of reach due to Shade knowing how to open doors along with him have the muscle to do so then sharing their food with the dogs. I made the mistake once and Shade dragged an 8lb bag out of the cabinet and one of the dogs tore into it.

They were Feline Greenies Dental Treats in salmon and Companion Filled Treats in chicken.

I'm not super fond of all the ingredients in them, but I like the crunchiness of them. My boys eat mostly wet food, and even their dry food gets a lot of water in it (urinary issues), so I like something with a good crunch for a treat to help tartar!

And apparently they LOVE them.

Let's see...
I had a cat when I was a kid that was the most accident prone guy with a "kick me" sign on his back. He got into the duct work of the house when we had a vent (it was a large vent!) off for cleaning....he went inside, and got lost in the duct work. He chewed on a stiff whisk broom and got a piece of the broom caught between his teeth. Then he got stuck in the silverware drawer. I am not making that up. When he was a kitten, he got scared by some guests and hide in a 2 inch wide spot behind a heavy dresser and after we all searched and had practice heart attacks, we found him.
We had a kitten that was water obsessed. She loved getting wet, being wet, and would dunk her head under a running faucet and begged us to let her in the shower after we were done. As an older kitten (8+ months or so), if you left the toilet seat up, she'd lay on the toilet rim and sleep and every single day would fall in.
We got a new mini-fridge for one of the rooms, and when we were getting things around to load into it, we realized the door was open and one of our kittens was inside, laying on a shelf like he was the most clever thing ever.
Do I even need to mention kittens seeing themselves for the first time in a mirror? They look like overstuffed hedgehogs with pipe cleaner tails. That's one of the best thing in life, right there.

I can always tell when my cat knows she did something naughty. She walks fast with her body almost touching the floor. So I say "Peaches! Whatcha do?" Usually steals food I am eating second I turn my head. When I'm preparing her food she jumps on the counter. After figuring that's not working she would jump up,grab a bite, and back down real fast. No time to say or do anything. At night she sleeps on my bed. If I budge she growls. If she hears noise from my tablet she will bite me. All I can think of right now. My other cats are well behaved

maggie101 maggie101 Your Peaches is a very bizarre cat -- but then, you know that. :insertevillaugh:
1 bruce 1 1 bruce 1 Were you and your family in some kind of weird Bermuda Triangle type place where all the kittens were affected, or something? I have NEVER heard of some of those behaviors and I thought I'd experienced just about everything possible, cat-and-kitten-wise.

One of our beloveds would get under my dad's desk on the side, and under his dresser, too -- and the clearance on these was maybe 3". And she was a BIG fluffy adult.

LOL!! Poor Peaches!!! =D She knows when she's been naughty but can't help herself.
One of my adult girls will get really weird if she hears other cats meowing. If I play a video of cats on you tube that sound mad, she'll go to the nearest cat, start over-grooming them (not really aggressively, but really intense like) and if the video continues she'll slap/bite/hiss, then run away like a victim.
I love this little weirdo cat. She also is my best mouser and if a fly comes in, she'll murder it and eat it for me.

One of my dogs acts kind of the same. Cats making distressing noises really, REALLY bothers this dog. This dog does not get aggressive but they're all over the place, whining, pacing, freaking out, etc. If a dog is in distress they're like "who gives a crapola" but if a cat is in distress (or, if they THINK a cat is in distress, somewhere on this planet, maybe), they're in my business, slamming me in the leg with their nose like "ARE YOU DEAF?" It's kind of endearing, really.

The spaces they fit into amaze me. We have a big fat yellow cat that can cram himself into a match book (OK. That's an exaggeration. But he can cram himself into the tiniest of Amazon boxes and you can tell by his face that he is NOT comfortable but he tries to look like it's all cool.)
One of my smallest girls will cram herself into really ridiculous places then sit there like "nah, bruh, it's totally cool" and hang out there for about 20 seconds, then hop out all nonchalantly. It's hilarious. I *know* this isn't comfortable for them but it's like they don't want "us" to know that.

Oh..
Our 10-ish year old boy has decided the dog toy box (a huge wicker thing that holds about a billion toys) is a great bed, and he guards it like a border patrol dog crossed with a rabid wolverine.
We got another little box for toys so he can't hog the dog toys but still have a bed.
Top of the food chain, my butt. We cater to them and we love it.
