I tried wild Calling, looks like a good food, my cats hated it :(

Earthborn i have always used the Monterrey medley and the Catalina cats, my guys have loved those two. however the last two cases i got, one of each, the food looked different, and the cats would not eat it. these were two i could count on them cleaning their plates. I emailed Earthborn today asking.

I do feed some Against the Grain, so far no problem with it. Mine like the chicken and cheese, which i don't feed much because of the cheese, they also like the chicken and pumpkin, and the tuna with mango.

Hi! (I don't have strong opinions about the other two foods)
I've been hearing questionable things about Earthborn, but their Holistic Grain Free version could be ok...not sure if that's the version duckpond duckpond is looking into.

My cats have always loved the Earthborn Monterey medley, and Catalina catch. They have for a long time been my go too for fish. The last case i got of Catalina catch looked like a slightly different color, but so slight i was not sure. Cats didn't want to eat it so i thought well they are just tired of it, i gave it to the outside cats, who ate it right up.

Monterey Medley they absolutely love, it had a very fluffy jelly type gravy, and larger pieces of fish, i had to chop it all up and mix it up a bit, but it was ok, they loved it. This case the pieces are smaller, and no fluffy jelly, more of a broth type of gravy? cats dont want to eat it either, it still looked good, and smells good, just different. I emailed Earthborn, they did reply right back, and ask me to send in a photo of the food, and the lot #, which i did this morning. Hopefully i will hear back from them next week. I will let you guys know.

so for now our go too with fish is the Against the grain Tuna mango tango. they like it, just not as nuts about it as they have always been with Earthborn. I am hopeful this was a one off issue, and they have not changed the formula.

One reason i love chewy, i let them know, and they are sending me a new case of the Monterey Medley, just in case it was just a problem with that case. If it is the same way they said no problems, they will swap it for what ever i want, or give me a full refund. Cant beat their customer service!

Wild calling canned seems to be really high in fat. I’ve fed a few canned flavors. Mostly the alligator. My cats liked it at first but then stopped. The texture was very nasty to me lol. Like it had been blended very aggressively and was just mushy and greasy.
Earthborn my cats liked the chicken canned food. Would feed again if it was more readily available to me.
Against the grain is made by Evangers and I try to stay away from that company. Way too much shady stuff in their past for me. A lot of people forgive brands like Evanger and diamond, but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I’ll avoid taking the chance.

Wild Calling used to be Ailish's favorite food. I used turkey, chicken and something else with three proteins mixed. I liked the smell of it becuase it smelled like...what it was. Unfortunately she has recently decided that she doesn't like any of the food she used to like and will only eat Weruva.

But I would still recommend Wild Calling as it seems like good ingredients and she loved it. Of course with cats, YMMV.
