1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine That just looks like Paradise to me! or as close to it as human habitations allow. So beautiful! And with all those CATS :cloud9:
foxxycat foxxycat So glad to read that! So we probably cross each other's paths on the "big 2" social media platforms. :geekcat:

We're expecting RAIN any time, and for the next 3 days or so, off and (hopefully more) on. Excited about that and working away with my tortoiseshell laptop keeping us both warm. :dancingblackcat:

AbbysMom AbbysMom and foxxycat foxxycat , yeah.....I'm seeing the same stuff as you swirling in the air here in Central Massachusetts. Oh, I meant to say, "coming down sideways in the air". Yes, that is what I meant. Please be careful.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine , that is really a very beautiful picture!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 , that is good about the rain!

I've been shoveling a bit at a time and the most pawsitive is knowing that the birds are enjoying their food at the feeder! :daisy: Today is a good day to watch a movie, maybe one with Mary Pickford, but so many choices, but it is fun to decide.

Good news=they are closing the plant at 3:30...so I don't have to stay late=good thing I didn't purchase that hotel room LOL. Saved myself $115 Lol. But I do like the overtime-now I get to go home and give Honeybee a cuddle-I will get some pictures of the snow-I will go up on the roof and take some pictures of the back yard-I have to shovel the vents anyways-there's 4 or 5 inches up there and with the recent snow fall-I am sure it's back up to 12 inches up there. Now you all come on and send some prayers for strong winds to blow the snow OFF the roof-so I don't have to! So the positive is going home to my lovely hunny and kitties-and shovel snow!

I feel so sorry for you guys having to put up with all that snow, I wouldn't have any idea on how to drive in that stuff. Heck, some people here don't even know how to act when it rains, zipping down the freeway as if it were dry and then wondering why they wiped out hydroplaning all over the place or not being able to stop as fast as they thought they could and then fender benders! Forecast is for 20% chance of rain for today and tomorrow, sun is peeking out but looking sort of wan. I'm staying in cuddling with kitties while laundry is going. Don't need the heater today as I am wearing a nice cuddly sweater and temps outside in high 60s which will go down once it starts to rain. No wind. Good day to stay in.

PS: Why don't they make roofs steeper so that the snow can just slide off from its own weight? Climbing up on the roof to shovel snow seems dangerous. And what do they do with buildings that are several floors high, do they also have flattish roofs with snow just piling up until the roof caves in?
My son went up to the low coastal mountains where it seldom snows when he was a teenager and it had indeed snowed. People were hiring others to remove snow off roofs which most of them did with long poles attached to scrapers and just reached up on the roofs, no climbing.

Paw-sitively the sky is brightening in Central Massachusetts and the snow has been somewhat light to shovel. Also, I do not mind shoveling when the weather is on the warmer side, as today. All that being said, @mani , I do long for the summer season you are having right now.

Speedy it seems has been talking to the birds as they come to the feeder, with very soft meows, almost as if she is saying to them, "be well, little friends".

I have the chance to watch a movie today because of the snow and I have chosen The Lady Vanishes, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. 1938. I have seen it before but I longed to view it again. Who knows, maybe I will have time to see a movie that I have never seen before. :)

Raining here, too tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 ! It's nice, clean, fat droplets. Hopefully it will help to spring Spring even more quickly!

I know what you mean about CA drivers having no clue how to drive in the rain segelkatt segelkatt
Any time I make it to and from work without running into one of these people - usually going either 30mph or 90mph on the freeway, swerving around other cars - it's a PAWsitive thing!

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine - That is a beeeeautiful place. Reminds me of Perth, Ontario which is the town near the in-laws cottage. Plenty of stone buildings and houses in Perth as a lot of the stonemasons that built the Rideau Canal system settled there. For all you horse lovers that is also the home of Big Ben, the Canadian horse that won lots and lots of competitions. He wasn't born in Canada but Perth is where Big Ben lived and passed on.

Ottawa is back to the winter wonder land it should be this time of year. Wild turkeys out back of work today.

I tried to get closer to get some of their color but they would have none of that.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life. I have been rather busy lately, busy is good:)

Wow i got 2 feet of snow up there on thy roof. That is crazy! Of course the section i need to shovel is that deep. The other end is only 3 inches deep. Seems it made a funnel. Jon cleared off vents but it formed a funnel so i finished clearing off backside roof. Snow is light and fluffy. But theres alot of snow.
The view up high.

Pumps hid under the bed while I walked on the roof but shes out now. Snow still falling. Probably all night. This is nuts. Jon snowblowed enough so i can pull in. Its 2 feet deep in many areas. Crazy.

Heres me teasing the Bee Kitty earlier. She insisted on climbing up even though I had nothing there to give her.

foxxycat foxxycat and Shane Kent Shane Kent , your photos of snow are so beautiful!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: I love the wild turkeys. I've not seen one for years and never in the snow!. And foxxycat foxxycat , that's a great shot from the - shudder - roof. We've hardly had any snow at all this winter and I miss it. So does Paul - here he is in March of 2015 in his typical snow-watching pose.

I kind of wish we would get one big snow this season but the plants around here wouldn't be very happy. Instead of snow, this is what we've got. Big fat buds ready to leaf out on a mystery (to me) tree...

...rose bushes that actually are leafing out...

...viburnum floral buds swelling...

...and finally Hellebores covered with blossoms.

Shane Kent Shane Kent and foxxycat foxxycat - You both had better luck than I did behind the camera today; these are great Winter Wonderland photos. Here it was just a long ride along the lake, and Belgian waffles, bacon and sausage for dinner.

*sigh*

Poor, poor me.

;)

Everyone in the storm's path - and in its wake - stay safe out there; it will all melt out eventually.

Had to stay at work late today, so no getting home before dark. An exhilarating sight on my commute as my car pierced the juicy, plum skin of a sunset-filled fog more than made up for it, though. And, to think, if I'd have left on time, I'd have never bit into it! :cutecat:
