My pawsitive news today involves shopping. I caught a clearance sale on a pair of Merrell insulated waterproof boots originally priced at $165.00 for only $14.95! :jive: I was so thrilled that I put my shoes I wore to the store in the box and donned my new boots home.

All the precious creatures I am privileged to care for are healthy and content. That makes me feel very positive!
I caught Taz and Tiffin on the cat tree today, looks to me like I walked in on a private conversation. Perhaps they were discussing their bid to conquer the world, either that or how to get the package of ham off me.

Despite the fact that the air temperature is too warm for snow, we're having the world's tiniest snow flurry here this morning. Knowing that it can't stick to anything actually makes it look delightful. One full week until Spring arrives!

Today for dinner I made grilled cod, basmati rica and a strawberry-cucumber-mint salsa for dinner.

I'm seeing the light at the end of the report card tunnel. I know it will feel like a major weight off my shoulders when I'm done.

Lol, the recipe app I use does make meals for two (or four if you choose). The rest is in lunch containers for tomorrow. It's so much nicer than just bringing a sandwich.

...though I guess if you get here first, a sandwich it may be.

A brief reminder of the thread rules for everyone : we ask for all posts to be at least 15 words long. :thanks:

I am no fan of fish Lari Lari but that plate of food looks lovely. Lots of veggies there and healthy so who's to worry if the plate is full (and there's no scale to the plate but to me it looks very small!).

I had a very restful day today and did little other than chill with Mouse. Very pleasant - if not quite what I should have been doing.

I'm sorry I didn't post 15 words - forgive me, I was very excited by the photo of that delicious food! It does look so good. I wouldn't want to take it from you *she said, slyly* :yummy: but I do hope you enjoy it all.

mservant mservant - You might not enjoy it, but I'll bet that a certain Grey Mouser wouldn't decline.

Best news in ages: Clawed-Ya - the youngest and "newest" of my eight ferals - has now resigned herself to being picked up, held and snuggled. I got an half-hearted *bunt* tonight, followed by the immediate StinkEye - (◔_◔) - but progress is progress!

Few things in life compare to watching kittycats frisking about and having fun. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

 1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine Mouser has a strange aversion to all human food so no risk of anything being raided here - at least by him. :D

I am being eyed very sternly just now though as he would like me to go put some nice food in his bowl before he settles for the night. It could be a long wait as he's had his daily rations. :angrycat: Mouse being Mouse I know he will forgive me and come for snuggles anyway. :catlove:

We bought a scratching board for Carleton today and stood it upright. He totally ignored it and went out of his way to walk around it. So I laid it on the floor and guess what? He loved it! In fact, he's sleeping on it now. :sleepycat:
Although I didn't buy this exact one, this is what it looks like:

Mowgli loves those corrugated cardboard scratchers, especially the ones with curves because they're in the shape of animals or furniture.

We're enjoying some milder weather this week, so Mowgli is spending some time out on his balcony catio.

neely neely , Speedy loves those scratchers! She too has to have them positioned just to her liking. :bluepaw:

The birds visiting the feeder this morning look so beautiful against the white snow. I am glad they are eating a lot now so they can ride out the snowstorm.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine , that is wonderful news about Clawed-Ya! She is so happy to be in her fur-ever home!

Let it snow- Let it snow! Another lovely winter day here in NH! Winds blowing 25+ mph and snow sticking to the roads-all warm and safe at work! Projects must continue so we are here to get it done! I even brought stuff to stay at the hotel tonight. The Hampton Inn if it's too bad when I leave-nothing worse than tons of road closures so I already planned on staying overnight at the hotel thats less than a mile away. So let it snow let it snow! Calling for 14 to 18 inches of lovely white snow! The cats are all set, I cooked some pork chops last night for Jon and some candy bars for him along with Devil dogs-he will cuddle the kitties while I am at work.

I follow the NYC Shelter kitties and I am always amazed at the hard work of rescuing the last minute kitties! Along with numerous other small cat rescues, particularly My Friendly Ferals-who has been very involved in the community of ferals plus her adoption of 3 kittens-two of who lost eyes but are thriving and Taming Gracies Feral cat care- who I have followed since the first time she got Wannya to let her pet him. She's TNR'd dozens of cats and continues to TNR in her new location. I just love reading about their successes with spay/neut and taming the kitties!

Happy belated Birthday @Norachan! Hope you had a lovely day!

foxxycat foxxycat - You've been missed around here these last few days. 14 to 18 hours of overtime? You must work for the Olcott Beach Highway Department!

Oh - 14 to 18 inches of snow. We had a little of that white stuff overnight as well, but it was closer to 14 to 18 millimetres, and it's chiefly gone now in the sunny spots. According to the forecast, today might be the last day to get a few pictures of the river and the creeks around here, still showing a bit of snow cover. It's never a bad day when you're out of doors!
